What is the best way to empty the water out of a DWC tank? In the past I had used 2 different Tera Pumps and both didnt last past a month of use. Even had someone else help me with the pumps to confirm it wasnt my user error and still no success. I am using my shop vac right now to empty the tank since Im only a few weeks in and the roots wont get damaged

When I have to, I use a small 12v pump or even a 115v, drop it down in and pump it out. Other than that I use the same pump above, mine has lasted a couple of years now. Eats batteries like crazy. I now modify all of my DWC tanks with drains, my top off tanks will get modified this year for the same.

Could it really be as simple as needing new batteries that frequent making it still user error lol? I guess I will have to grab some more D's next time I venture outside and give it a go. Would you mind sharing your DWC drainage method. For the life of me, I have not been able to find any tutorial or video showing a drain added on a DWC tank and this is all still pretty new to me. 5th grow overall and only 2nd with DWC. I was using coco before.

So this crop is looking horrible and I'm afraid it's humidity but I've got a healthy plant in the back.. and this sickly one in the front. It looks like, up close, feathery mold starts on the leaves when they're young.. by the 2nd or 3rd week in bloom, they turn yellow. I see aphids underneath. I'm wondering if me using dish detergent, hot water, and a cap of neem oil made it worse?
I don't think so though because the back plant looks much better.
Also have pretty bad yellowing occuring between threads in leaves on 2 other plants. Different issue?
Thoughts?
i have 400 hps on left and 600w led on right
just been giving them the same ro miracle gro water

You should strive for as much light as you can get and full sun outdoors is a great option. However, most places, unless out in the open , fail in providing a solid sunrise to sunset exposure. With cannabis plants...light is the machine that drives them to produce. One reason indoor growers take charge of environmental conditions

i need emergency help with yellow leaf and droopy seedlings
Today, 03:27 PM
Hi guys I really need help with my plants . I planted my seed in cocopit 3 weeks a go .About fertilizers just today i have give them just a low dose of biobizz grow . My LED lights are 60 cm away from top of plants and my lights are white and purple . As u will see in the photos the lower set of leafs are yellow and burnt also some of the other plants are droopy and even turning yellow
I think they are over watered thats why plants are droopy , even due i didnt water them much but the humidity was about 90% during this 3 weeks but now i set that to 65% . Also trying to give them less water .
i have 2 other plants that they just dont grow it looks like they are locked . When should i start fertilizing?? Please share your ideas so i can save these plants9 Photos

Hey guys, it's 1.5 weeks of growing my Sticky Beast from Zamnesia and i noticed some yellowish spots and 2 "old" leaves are curling up, i don't know if it's heat stress or nitrogen deficiency, what do you think ?
i'm growing in 60% coco and 40% light soil, watering between 6 and 6,8 PH and EC around 5/600 PPM ( alternating with just tap PH'd water ) using BioBizz Grow, Fish Mix and Bloom. Room temperature between 68 to 84 Fahrenheit and RH between 42 to 55 ( i know it's low but i've ordered already an humidifier ). The light is 45 cm above the plant, as the manufacturer suggest.
Let me know guys what do you think it can be the problem, thanks !

Hello, I have some new plants that appear to be experiencing multiple problems. 1st time growing outside. Medium: potting mix. From seed. No fertilizer yet.
I noticed recently what appears to be some slug issues. Is it possible something else is eating them?
Also, as in the one pic, there were just a few brown spots, then seemingly in a day, the other 2 had their leaves turn brown and wilt. This is my main concern.
There is also some browning on the tips of some leaves which I think is a deficiency.
I don't know if the really bad leaves are pests, deficiencies or maybe disease...
They were quite healthy yesterday. ps. My husband used bug spray for mosquitos this morning where they are sitting. Not sure if this could cause a problem.
thx.5 Photos

Slugs? I don’t even know how you’d keep them away lol. Maybe find less damp spot to put your plant? Or spray some kind of stuff on the ground around your grow spot? No clue lol. Ya transplanting will make a big difference I think, and getting rid of the crap leaves so whatever it is doesn’t spread. It looks like it can afford to lose a couple at least until new ones come in then you can fully remove all the crap ones maybe? When o had the issue it just came
On suddenly and I started indoors in a clean sterile spot so I think she was still recovering from the deficiencies and issues that happened during veg. I didn’t waste no time and snipped them. I figure it’s like any other plant, you cut bad stuff off
And new grows back. Hope she stays kicking good luck

I don’t think pests to me it looks like deficiencies probably due to lack of nutrients (fertilizer should fix that). I guess if you do have pests to look under the leaves with a magnifying glass. The tips look the same way mine started to go (nitrogen deficiency I believe)

Put down a ring of salt for slugs, they won't cross it.

Firsttimernate123 here’s my pics as promised. Starting from the beginning basically to now (minus most of the veg pics or seedlings as I didn’t have her yet) also you’ll notice i trimmed off a lot of fans. I’ve read sooooo much on this and people agree or disagree. It’s kinda ridiculous. But I know it worked great for me, as far as growth and progress. It’s almost the end of week 3 flowering. The bud sites, height, smell, color and overall look of her has flourished. My thoughts were maybe plants get nute burn by having way too many solar panels feeding such a young plant. Do they need
them, yes I think they do, but not all of them. They get to a point where I noticed stunted growth in spots. One pic you can see a few started to yellow. I didn’t even wait or hesitate to cut them off. Sure they still had energy and we’re still healthy, but they were indeed getting sucked dry and using up valuable resources. Anyways idk again My first time too, but if you know how to grow vegetables and flowers well, use that knowledge here. I do. It’s working. I’ll try to figure out my soil type I forgot. I know it’s organic and has perlite. I filled my pot half full with the soil then the rest with my compost (homemade) and mixed it together with my hands really well. The soil says 3 months of feed time nutrients wise, the compost I use all the time and is super super healthy. So ya heresy pics, here’s my rambles, I’ll shut up now, good luck!! Don’t forget your guts and intuition, make slight adjustments and see the results, stay calm, and grow 😊

HELP!!! I am in my 5th week of flower. Growing Aurora Indica in FFOF soil under 400 watt HPS with GH nutes at 1/4 strength. I was extremely happy with how flower was developing until these spots showed up a week ago. They are brownish/grayish in nature and the affected leaf eventually starts to curl up. This is happening on the upper fan leaves. I cant find any similar pictures on the internet, the closest thing I could find was a Manganese deficiency. I flush a 6.5ph and that seem to have not helped at all. I NEED HELP!!! Can anyone point me in the right direction?12 PhotosLast edited by goroth; 05-30-2020, 07:20 AM.

Hi Everyone,
Need help with identifying the problem with my plants. I’m just not sure if I’m over paranoid or if things are really going south.I am a new grower and just started my first grow. I had 4 autoflower plants growing in 3 gal smart pots in 3x3x6 grow tent under 600W Viparspectra LED Light. Growing in coco, with about 20% perlite and used Gaia Green as a fertilizer mixed with coco. Light is about 44 inch away from the plants, and is at its maximum height. It’s been 11 days since I planted first 2 germinated seeds in the pots, and I have attached pictures of my 2 plants that I have so far. Other two seeds were planted later (3rd died due to negligence, and 4th is on its 5th day after being planted into the pot.
I have attached pictures of my first two plants, they look really light green at the top and I’m afraid there might be something wrong with them and need help identifying the issue. climate conditions are what seems to be perfect, 60% humidity and 25 degrees during the day and 21-22 at night.
would really appreciate any help!

Few issues i see. First. you need more perlite. At least 30% but pref 40%. Second, is this pre-buffered coco or did you buffer it your self? Third, are you adding cal mag? Also what is the ph of the nutes/water going in? I'm not familiar with the brand of nutes you are using so i cant comment on that.
All that said, sometimes new growth will be lighter in color and darken as it matures. But if you dont have cal-mag with coco you will run into issues and if you dont have good enough drainage you will get root issues.

Thank you for the response man. Perlite in my mix is at about 30%, and I think I’ll stick with it for now as I don’t want to disturb or repot the plants now. The coco coir I used is MoKoko and It is pre buffed. I just went into the store and purchased Calmag from Advanced Nutrients as the guy in the store suggested I may be having a calmag deficiency and also said I should be feeding it to my ladies with every watering. I just mixed it at a half strength and watered one of my plants to see how the will do. Do you think I should be doing something else?
