hey y’all, i cloned a plant of my mother’s and it’s surviving 😅
definitely don’t have the ability to control all my conditions otherwise i prob wouldn’t be posting this. I think it’s heat stress/root issues possibly. i’ve been giving it kelp and micronutrient balance mix in its water to try and help it deal with the temp.
-temp is around mid 70s-80 (it’s hot here and i’m too broke to keep my place cool 😅)
-media is coir, vermiculite, perlite, bit of peat and worm castings.
-plastic pot
-light is an altered aero-garden light (basic one you can’t set the timer on :/)
i have a mini fan pointing above it to try and defer some of the heat
THUroughly inspected with magnification even to check for pests and look at the necrosis if it was disease, fungus and the like - No pests, and i don’t believe it’s infected with anything.
-using rainwater so PH is 7ish i believe
it just started to dry out yesterday and then i think i may have gave it too much water :/

I have had this problem before and don’t know hat causes it. The upper leaf turn yellowish from thou outside leafs in. The leaves also feel a bit like basilicum leafs the way they bend. The temperature is always around. 27C and moisture between 60/80% I water with nutrients ph to 6.5 and EC 1.1

Is that a solo coffee cup?
They look a bit large for those cups.
They are also losing pigment which is a classic case easy to diagnose under leaf symptoms.
Temps I'd be peaking at 27 around late veg and 70RH is probably fine.
I think you'll find it easier to manage in a decent size pot.Last edited by Bluey; 10-15-2023, 01:43 PM.

Reduce humidity to 55% - 60% and temp between 75* - 77*. Turn down PPFD to around 350 ppfd. What nutes are you giving it? Are you letting the media dryback properly?

I put them in bigger pots and a more stable environment and made a 10L vat of nutrients described under vegetative I in the picture I added, to that I myself added 15ml of sensi cal mag xtra to a EC of 1.13 and a pH of 6.6 by adding a little bit of pH- but think of adding a bit more to make it more around 6.2 what do you guys think of that? And how do I fix this problem with the leaves being so dropped and having slow growth wich could potentially decrease my harvest?

If you put it in bigger pot with soil with some nutrients, then stop adding nutrients. I would say less light, less water, no added nutrients just plain water. Leave it the f*** alone, stop messing with it and let it catch up. To me it just looks stressed and overwatered

Wait and see a week just be patient and don't over water them. Don't trim don't top leave them be to recover.

The plants have been getting better the super silver haze even doesn’t show any signs of deficiency’s at all, however my super lemon haze still doesn’t look the best. I’ve added a few pictures of that plant. I haven’t been watering her for some 2/3 days now and if I did i did it with very low EC (low nutrient level) and the temperatures have been a lot higher, first time it went to as low as 12C now it’s stable 31C. How do I fix the deficiencies of my super lemon haze though?5 Photos

Still looking a tad over watered and definitely a cal/mag deficiency as earlier diagnosed.
Your temps are way too high. At that stage aim for day time temps of 24⁰C and night time 22⁰C., give or take. RH 70%
You need a suitable cal/mag suppliment. Find one recommended by your nute manufacturer and a bit of N won't hurt either.

I'll agree with Bluey except for RH and temp. I would run it a little lower at around 55% - 60%. Once new growth comes in healthy run your temps slightly higher at around 26c but 24c should be ok. 31c is too high. If you can reduce the PPFD/light intensity to around 350 that would also help until new growth comes in healthy then I would run it at around 26c - 28c.
If you really want to dial in your environment buy an infrared thermometer gun. They are cheap and will allow you to read leaf temps. You want to run your leaf temps at around 24c - 28c so whatever air temperature you need to be at to achieve those leaf temps.
N at this stage should be increasing so N in your Cal/Mag solution should be fine unless you are counting on the worm castings to provide the N you need. Nothing in your media is providing nutrition other than the worm castings so you need to treat it almost like an inert media, you providing all nutrients so paying attention to nutrient mix is important versus straight soil where more of the natural processes are there to provide nutrition and you don't have to be as diligent.
Check the tutorials on proper watering techniques. I like to use the light pot method. I can usually tell just from looking at them when they are on the brink of leaf wilt or due for watering through years of experience but, if you are new, light pot is the easiest way to know. Not sure of the coco ratio in your media but coco tends to not hold onto water very well so you also need to be diligent on watering practices.Last edited by Rootsruler; 10-30-2023, 11:05 AM.

I mean if it were me I wouldn't give it any nutrients at all. Too much calmag or practically anything else can lead to deficiencies (lock out), and from what you said your soil is fresh because you just repotted and your plants are small, so you shouldn't need any nutrients. Let it dry out between waterings, water with pain water and nothing else. That's just me though.

The plants I had problems with earlier have recovered and are growing strong now, only now my newest repotted plant is starting to show some deficiencies. Last I watered it I just used plain water. Seems to mee it a K problem and not N because the yellowing of the leaves goes from top to botten not the other way around.4 Photos

- Temp is 24C / 75F on average
- Lights: 18/6, 60%

They look good apart from the yellow spot.
No idea what it is.
Try wiping it off.

What would I do?
They look happy.
I'd probably get them into their final resting place, triple check the pH I was giving them with an accurate pH meter, check light intensity and environment and double check nute dosage.
Then I'd chill and smoke a big fat number.

Relax. Nothing out of the ordinary. As Bluey mentioned, they look like they're fine. Sometimes leaves get weird. What's important to note is the new growth.

Please help
I'm suspecting this is nute burn. And maybe some light stress because the leaves are a little yellowish compared to the other 3 plants. (am I right?) But what confuses me is that I have four plants from the same mother. All getting fed from the same rez in autopots.. if its nute burn then how come it's only one plant???
4 super buff cherry-auto pot system- coco- mid 5th week of flowering. Temp 25.5 C / RH 48. PH 6.1 Ec 2.1 in the rez Daylight 600w pro.. I've backed off nutes and raised lights a little to 850 umols. Also what confuses me is that this plant is further from the light than the other 3 and they look brilliant. Please any opinion I will be thankful for.Last edited by Gaz21; 12-26-2023, 08:00 PM.
