I just started my second grow so you can take that into mind as you read my advice.
I agree with budgal, I’d scrap what you have and start over.
I don’t have a super elaborate or expensive setup. I think if your light is good enough, if not you can get an led for a decent price, mars hydro, spider farmer, HLG, viparspectra are all decent and reasonably priced just read the fine print for the light you like and see what the actual area that it covers for veg and flower. I use 2 or 3 gal smart pots, I don’t like plastic pots but if you do just make sure they have plenty of drainage so they can dry out. Finally check your PH religiously when you water, I try to keep my water at 6.5.
I think with a decent light, soil, pots, and proper PH you will surprise yourself. Keep asking here if you have any questions because there’s a bunch of great people here that can help.

After I spoke with Fox Farms I have come to the same conclusion regarding a nuit deficiency. I started following their feeding schedule today, I will figure out my tap water ph, and give it until the new year, if no change I’ll ditch them and start again. I knew from the get go this was an experiment. While it may not have been a success, my knowledge base as increased exponentially. So, I will follow-up after the New Year. Not sure if this is where to ask, but I was curious as to the best way to monitor ph in coco? Or if what I'm doing is all that can be done. All I have been doing is checking ph before I feed and then checking runoff afterwards. Always try to feed at around 6.0. I've heard the probe style meters dont work in coco is that true? Thanks.

Coco is neutral so you have to ph adjust your nutrient solution prior to watering.

Can anyone help me with what this is. I’m using a 20 gallon superponic system and I have been putting gen hydroponics flora line and a homemade clear Rez solution of pool shock chlorine. Don’t know if they are burned or if it’s a pathogen

Pool shock chlorine? HydroBushDocter never ever heard of putting that in there poison sounds like to roots.

Week 6 deficiencies.
my girls started showing symptoms in week 5 and I have fed nitrogen via bloodmeal tea but it has continued to spread. They are in 5 gallons of 50/50 ff ocean forest and sohum ls with no feeding until week 2 of flower then added 1/4 strength ff blooms.

I flushed them but the symptoms have kept spreading. I'm more worried now for the smaller one with multiple leaves dying back.

Ok so I was going to use foxfarm nutes and didn't do it. After about 4-5weeks in foxfarms ocean forest soil I added earth dust - boost. 2-3-6. Its supposed to be 2 part. Base first then boost. Well I didn't have the earth dust when I started it. So no base.
I water with 24hr airated w/ vitamin C for the chlorine and chloramine. I havent really used PH pen because of the organic soil and amendments are supposed to figure the PH out itself.

Well they started to yellow. Just the tall ones. I did lower the light after I harvested the zkittlez. Not under 24inches tho and 60%power. The light is now raised to about 26-29inches from tops. The leaves of the tall critical purples are the affected ones.
They pointed up at first so I raised light a little then. Well it doesn't seem to get better yet.
I added the next round of the boost top dressing. Hopefully they will start to look better.

Can you guys identify the issue?

Plus I'm trying to get the watering down good where it's not getting to dry.

I'm not sure but doesn't calcium sulfate (gypsum) balance PH to around 7? I have gypsum for my mushroom cult.
I just got a water filter that should help. I do think I need to PH using the filter. In organic soil anyway.

So I used my water filter for first time. The PH after the filter was 8.8
Supposedly 'earth dust' can be watered with the water out of filter. No need to PH. But that shit was high and I was afraid. I lowered it to 6.8
Since I didn't use base but did use boost, I knew I would have issues.

I have read gyp does not affect PH, I use dolomite lime for up and sulfur for down, both pelleted. You can use other things, banana tea is acidic and wood ash is alkaline, both are good for our girls.

New grower here. I'm growing two Bubba Kush and tow Blueberry Glue plants outdoor, and none of the plants are doing particularly well. All of them have yellowing leaves, especially at the lower half of the plant, with leaves dropping off. From what I've read, it seems to be nitrogen deficiency, but adding organic accelerator pellets, which are high in nitrogen, doesn't seem to have helped. Any idea what might be causing it and what I might do? thanks

I'm vegging White Widow in soil right now, they are manifolded and growing profusely using HLG 260's. Problem is, I'm getting so much foliage it's ridiculous and my internodes are short, like less than an inch. I'm getting suckers at each leaf internode and I keep trimming this all back in hopes that the mains will grow upward without getting so crowded. I've probably trimmed 2 lbs of leaves off so far.

My question is, is constantly trimming suckers and leaves off the mains as they grow upward (I have 8 mains per plant) what I want to do? I'd like 8 fat colas per plant. Am I ruining bud sites by doing this? Should I just flip it and let it go? They're about 10-12 inches tall.

This happens during veg when we trim alot when they are young. I still do it i don't want to but like you i can't keep my hands off the plants once this happens. You still got those 8 they are'nt going anywhere but after you flip focus on the bud sites. After week 3 of 12/12 it should not grow much taller but this is when we take off those shoots and keep the focus on the bud sites. I had a outdoor Thai that sent little shoots like this wild crazy could hardley keep up with them. After it bloomed for over a month i kept trimming those shoot off and they did not reappear put the focus on those 8 main. For now those will keep happening. I keep telling myself over and over to keep my hands off while they are growing so well.

If I don't trim every week, the leaves crowd each other so badly, overlapping and touching 4 deep. I can't imagine what it would be like if I let all the suckers grow out. There is just so much leaf and internode suckers I can barely fit my hand in there it gets so tight.

I just keep trimming as they grow upward, leaving the 8 mains with some room to breathe.

The internodes where I trim have those big spikes on them so I assume they will be sites later on.

Hi, I am 28 Days into flower and I noticed some spotting on the top leaves of a few of my girls.




I removed a leaf tip from the second pic and put it under a microscope:



I thought it might be calcium, so I gave them en extra dose BioBizz calmag, 1.2 ml/L
but it is still progressing.

I thought It could be light burn so I went down to 40k lux but I think it is still progressing.

They are Special Queen, feeding has been:

Biobizz Grow 2ml/L for the first 2 weeks of flower not down to 1ml/L
Biobizz Bloom 1ml/L for the first 2 weeks now 2ml/L
Cal Mag .5 ml/L with every feeding (soft water)

any tips are highly appreciated.

First have you looked for bugs using at least a 30x zoom lens? (on the under side of all leaves)
Second whats the PH?

So my northern light auto has grown great until 2 weeks into flowering. First issue was top leaf edges turning yellow now I have brown patches on qlot of top fan leaves. This happened before on last grow. I've flushed it yesterday with phd mag cal. Before this I was phing around 5.7 but decided to increase it to around 6.2 as I read its better in flowering. I'm using gh trio part with a viparspectra 1000. Temps around 25c and 50 percent humidity.

Any tips greatly appreciated, under a microscope it does appear to be rust rot as doesn't come off...

I am half way through flower with some sour diesel in a little 2x4 tent. Growing in soil and using fox farm salts. 250 watt Budget LED light and a 100 Mars. Temps around 72-75. Humidity can get low, but usually around 45%. 4 of the 5 plants look very similar, but only one is getting sick. Some chlorosis and veining is showing up all the way up the colas and starting on the highest leaves, fast growing rust spots. Doing my own research it could be phosphorus or copper deficiency, even too much potassium. Raised pH closer to 7 last watering to see if it was lockout. Runoff was around 6. The plant is still declining a day later. Love the forum, any advice of greatly appreciated!
