I have a pest/fungus/mold problem I'd like info on how to deal with it. It starts with small rusty dots on the leaves and progresses rapidly to covering the leaf and killing it. The problem has killed the top of one plant and another is moderately infected. After clipping the top of my plant off, I noticed tight in to the stalk the are what appear to be little webs kind of like cottonballs. I've trimmed as much of the affected leaves as I can, but I'd like to know there's an effective method for eliminating the problem. Thanks for any thoughts.

To me, that looks like a combination of calcium deficiency (the rust spots on upper fan leaves) and bud mold / rot (the web-like stuff inside the buds).___________________

Yeah it does look like mold.
what is you humidity at.
if your room is cool and humid at night,
that would explain mold in the thick of the buds.
If it is indeed webs, then that could be spider mites.
And if it is spider mite....Oooh man.
I've never had a problem with mites but friends I know have, and there was nothing they could do to save there plants.
they had no choice but ta chop everything. Bleech all equipment, buckets/walls / floors/ hoses/ tools every single thing in the room.
then start over and hope ya got them all.
I was told once that releasing a shit load of lady bugs in your room will divour the mite
If it's nats.
I've heard of putting a layar of beach sand (1 inch) over the soil. I guess larvae don't like that and die off. maybe hang fly strips.
apparently Nat's can be control and recovered.

I appreciate all the thoughts. Sounds like it's nearly evenly divided between mites and mold - so I'll find a treatment for each I guess. It was my nicest plant too, only have 4 growing at the moment - they have all been affected by something during the grow - it was a grow from hell. About ready to clean up and start again.
BTW - my humidity and temp are both in the 60's most of the time. The humidity can crack 70 but not more and the temp cracks 68 and not more. Neither temp or humidity go below 65 - it gets checked at least 3 times a day, sometimes 4 or 5 times.Last edited by buz; 04-30-2017, 01:08 PM.

Yeah try ta get your humidity down bellow 50 RH.
and lots of fans.. lots and lots of air movement
my humidity tends to go up and over 60% on days when i just watered. my buds are 2 weeks away from picking with no signs of mold whats so ever but I was running Co2 (just shut off for last 2 weeks) and now drawing in fresh air and 3 fans in there going during lights on AND off.
keep em dancing
