Thanks berry pilot, green thumb, red beard and Obi-one for your input,
I spent about three weeks on this descision and placed my order for two 300 watt Vipraspectra dim able LEDs $109.00 ea.
I did consider both the Galaxy Hydro and the Roleadros
Sounds like mixing the hid lights w/ the LEDs is a good balance
my grow place is so hot I think the LEDs will help.
i got a bit carried away this winter/ spring cloning and adding a couple different varieties
everything from high CBDs (hiydrow, nightingale) to Sativas strawberry and raspberry coughs to a couple
aurora indica seedlings and a blueberry auto that I'm ready to toss ( root bound and not strong enough lighting ) imho.
made some homemade cloning chambers and have placed them in front of a window.
hopefully it will warm up a bit more outside and I can get some of these out along with what's in the bloom tent
during the summer. Will defiantly add a led for the bloom tent this fall.
thanks all

I have the 300w and 600w viparspectra as well as 2 galaxy hydro 300w. I can't speak to the other options but the 300w viparspectra is great for veg, the galaxy hydro have more red so I use them more in flower. I don't regret buying any of them but if I had to do it again I would buy all viparspectra, definitely worth the little extra money.

Hi I used a 300galaxyhyro and a 400hps last grow seemed to work great. My space was 6x2 so the led was over 2 plants hps over the others. Definitely a difference in hardness of buds, with the ones under the led harder but the 2 in the mix of light were my best 2 . All clones the 2 sharing the led hps light in the middle of my space were the Champs .

I use the Roleadro 2nd Gen full spectrum 300 watt LEDs for vegging, clones, and seedlings. They're a yellowish white light, 3k on the color scale, and the plants really like what these lights do! I get no stretch from these lights, nice node spacing, lots of growth. And they're $70 each on Amazon. Good luck with whatever you choose!

Lots of growers use HPS & LED! I think it's actually even supposed to be better to use both ✨

this is a picture of my vegand bloom room found these Led strips that said full spectrum lights and added to my t5 lights ,I also did this to my 1000 hps . the strips and power supply under 40 bucks also found some light bars 100 w $60 https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...?ie=UTF8&psc=1. I only gave 1 address for the bars the strips are from esave bulbs 5 w led strips . This is the first grow with the leds and hps ,havn't had any issues yet the girls seem to love them.I had read so much about leds and wanted the full spectrum for my girls but after talking with other growers I dicided I did not have the height for a led replacement for my hps light so I incorporated leds into what I had .Before you purchase the leds find out how far from the plant they need to be some need to be 36" from the plants to keep them from burning. hope this helps2 Photos

hello all
i have a 2x4x4.5 veg tent that I need to I get switched led lighting.
My room is already heating up and between my bloom tent ( same dimensions)
and the veg tent my room is sounding like an air plane hanger ; )
i have 2 questions
1 is it OK to use led,s and hid lighting together?
question 2 , I'm planning on buying two 300 watt LEDs for the veg tent, so I'm looking
for somthing I can either switch to veg mode or one that has a dominant
blue, uv.
Also, this is Budget light. I'd love to be able to afford a California or a Black Dog
but it's a tight budget
the lights I've considered
viparectra 300 watt $90.00 ish
galxy hydro
grow star
sygavled
meizhi
all 300 watt, all have uv and ir
all between $70.00-$100.00 each
has any one ever used any of these
thanks for any and all opinions
