So I just started watering my plants with half nutes just under a week ago. I pushed the week 7 nutes for 2 extra weeks before going to the half nutes/ripen. I felt like being 10.5 weeks in flower I should be leading up to a flush. So after some research and talking to the group, I need to go for about 2 more weeks. That will put it at about a 12 week flower period. What should I do for my nutes now leading up to harvest? The system is individual DWC buckets. I also figure there might be some residual nutes since I just top off when the 5 gallon buckets are a little under half. Below I included the feeding label. (I use the expert recipe) Thanks in advance for all the help

Howdy Skeet, Do You completely drain Your system every week or so? Are You finding signs of nutrient burn on your plant? The photos, to me, show that the plant needs a little more time, a lot of the tricomes are still clear. I would wait until a few (>10%) are turning amber or dark before flushing and harvesting. I do not use the same brand of nutrients as You, but do feed at full strength. Feeding at the recommended levels might speed up the growing, as long as there is little or no burn.
Your plant looks good, so You must be doing something correctly!
Good luck with Your grow.Smoke weed,.....grow peace!

No I'm not emptying them. Just topping off with the current or next week cycle. And no nutrient burn either

The 'salt' residue can build up in the reservoir and cause problems. I drain and refill my reservoirs every week and use only pH'ed water at midweek to top of the level in the reservoir. If You do not wish to drain every week, may I suggest, at least every third or fourth feeding, using a flushing agent to remove any salt build up and then drain the reservoir.

From looking at your buds I agree they look like they need several weeks left. In DWC you actually only need to flush for a few days because as soon as you change the reservoir to plain pH'ed water you've literally taken all the nutrients away from your plants! It's one of the cool benefits of being in DWC. Therefore I personally don't start flushing in DWC until the plants already look ready. Then I usually just flush until the next available weekend
However, at 10.5 weeks after 12/12 you probably want them to be at least thinking about finishing up. I believe you may have a long-flowering, possibly Sativa-leaning strain. Some of these strain originate from near the equator, where sometimes the warm season can last for half the year or longer, which means the plant doesn't have a lot of hurry to finish its life.
Indoors, when a cannabis plant still doesn't look like it's finishing up after over two months, you can help "speed things along" by changing to a 11/13 schedule (13 hours of uninterrupted darkness each day). This can help spur the plant into maturing its buds because it makes the plant "think" winter is coming. If it were me with these plants, I personally might try that to help get them to finish ripening!
The buds look really great (and long)!

NebulaHaze Thank you very much. Do you think I should still run week 7 nutes until towards the end then switch to week 8/ripening maybe the last week then flush?Last edited by Skeet; 04-21-2017, 06:14 AM.
