well I bought the original can/fan brand and it has a base of 20" in diamiter not Sure how tall it stands I'm guesing 25- 30 ".
it wasint cheap. think it was 350$ maybe
but for the price I'm told it'll last 3 years maybe more.

now. if ya ordered a filter from China. .
this might not be the case...

I've heard of guys still useing old past due filters, and there still doing the job..

so, i guess if ya smell weed in the house and down the street while it's running.
then it's time ta change it...lol

I typed in grow tent carbon filter and these results came up:

Or try charcoal filter. Mine came with my grow box, so you will have to figure out what size you need...

The white material on the outside is called a pre filter. It grabs all the bigger particles of crap before they even get to the filter which helps the carbon last longer.
The pre filter needs to be cleaned roughly every 4 weeks, I've heard taking it off and vacuuming it out of the grow space is the way to go, not washing it as it can get damaged and then it can't be used again until it is 100% dry as well.

Going to hook mine up for the first time maybe today or tomorrow. Walked through the back laundry door last night when I got home from work & the first thing I could smell was the girls. Strange since they're not even 3 weeks old and haven't begun to auto or show pre flowers (well no preflowers when I watered yesterday morning anyway)

I haven't had to change mine yet. I'm on my third grow, and I don't attach the charcoal filter until I begin to smell my favorite aroma... So it should last thru some more grows.

    Yeah right on.
    it's kinda what I thought.
I sent mine on a timer ta go off for 15 minutes every hrs.
and maybe 3 time through out the night cycle.
and it seems ta be doing great with out running for nothing

Wish I didn't have to worry about the aroma at all, but it would go throughout my whole house if I didn't use the filter. Grow room door is open all the time (unless unsafe people in the house) to keep the air circulating.

Me to the smell isn't an issue in my house but I have evaporated air and it's hott and the evaporated air push air threw and out the house so it would blow the smell out with it and I'm not in a legal state
