    Seedling has a weird stump

    Hey guys,

I have this seedling of Blue Dream and although the stem is growing, instead of first real leaves there these 2 stumps. One green and one slightly brownish. Not sure what that means.

    What do you think?

    Thanks

I'd guess that those are your first set of leaves but curled up.
It looks like your seedling is stretching for light and a lack of light might explain slow opening of those first leaves.
What lights do you use and how far away are they currently?
Sand, sea, sun, sausages, and sinsemilla.

About all you can do in life is be who you are. Some people will love you for you. Most will love you for what you can do for them, and some won't like you at all.

BuddMarsh yes it seemed too long and like its stuck between the cotyledons so I actually removed it manully, maybe that was wrong thing to do

Yes no issue. Try not to mess with it so it grows fast. Think of it like if you topped already

I just had a seedling that I had to remove the shell and the shell membrane from. The first set of true leaves were already starting to grow and were being stunted. Two days later and tho the leaves are small the plant seems to be doing okay. Let it grow out a bit and I think it will be just fine. Good luck and let us know how it does.

You might want to give the long stem some support so it doesn't bend under weight of leaves as they emerge...

Guys. What do you make of this one leaf? I dont like the size and coloring. The second one looks good and healthy. Thanks

edit: this is a different plant than the one we spoke about earlier

Seedlings are like babies, mostly you going to see those cute little perfect ones in the pictures. And some look that way. But nobody talks about the ugly ones :S they'll grow just fine just not as cute
