If I needed to, why not... the plant can only notice the changes to the nutrients whether good or bad

ok question, would you switch nutes in the middle of a grow? or would you wait til next grow? plants still in veg. got some Green Planet GP3 I wanted to try. havent been giving them much anyway like 1/2 dose FF.

I going to say this first off i don't use straight coco i mix it with the soil i make. From what i've seen here they say mix with lots of perlite to help with drainage. Pour real slowly so you see that it's absorbing into the medium and yes just alittle out the bottom should be fine don't need to run gallons through it. Then let her dry lift the pot if it's light water her. At different growth stages they will drink more and then slow down drinking. Good luck

My biggest question is growing in coco first time. Switched from living soil. Okay I know you water with nutrient water with 10-20% run off I get that. But what about when I'm using plain ph water in between feedings do I water to run off or water just enough to saturate the coco?

As long as you want with photo period all depends on how much room in the tent you have. It won't go into flower till the light changes to 12 hrs on to 12 hrs off.

So my question is this, I’m week 4 (3rd day) into flowering. My plant is growing everyday and from what I see there is no deficiency issues visibly noticeable. I have looked at many pics of week 4 flowering plants and have noticed the buds size are exponentially larger than mine are. I’m posting pics of her today, along with what I use once a week for plant food. The soil has perlite and is all organic. I put half soil into into this pot and half of my own compost, mixed it really well and did the transplant (I’d say about 2-3 weeks back) I’m using the skewers (gently) to train my sites more into the sunlight and leaves out the way. I have two major fan leaves coming off the main stem that have been here from the start. I’m wondering if trimming these puppies off would be more beneficial to bud focus Or if people think it’s just a waste of plant energy (I’m on the fence). Also if I should Defol one last time the smaller fans coming off from the sites to open it up a bit more. Really Im trying to remedy my only road block (bud density) I’ve had with her. She grows well in this mixture and I haven’t had much issues at all (practically none). Untrained she is about a foot tall (my own decision in size not due to stunting). She is growing everyday and colas are stretching and strengthening pretty good I think. What is keeping her behind in bud growth compared to most pics I’ve seen? Or is this just her being a stubborn ass and growing at her own pace? There are a lot of trichomes showing up on the stem, leaves, etc. I’m posting pics from this evening after being out all day, as well as the nutrient I use. Any ideas here? Well let me know thanks fellas.

Water is a factor and nutrients I believe. Some water people have has high ph or low ph. I’d start there. I use this nutrient called “alpaca grow” I’ll post the bag and its nutrients. And for the soil I’m using organic soil mixed with my own compost. I have had no ph issues or nutrient problems whatsoever. I forget the soil I used but it feeds for 3 months and has absolutely no growth hormones or steroids like miracle grow. I’m a first time grower, life long farmer though so I just use what I’ve learned. I personally think organic is best, there doesn’t seem to be any issues
and if done right is self sustained. Anyways heres
the pic. Oh and I do epsom salt (organic as well) once a month if I feel she needs a boost. I’ll post a couple pics of my plant, idk I’m happy with her she’s gonna be the size I want and I’m pretty sure provide the density I want as well5 Photos

Has anyone here successfully used tissue culture to clone plants? I’m interested as I understand you can keep them indefinitely till you are ready to grow, I can preserve favorites for a future time. I have only experienced growing from seed but there are genetics I wish I saved. Cost isn’t a problem (I mean to an extent)

Hey I just passed my OLCC ( Oregon liquor control commission ) workers permit for recreational. I retired in Dec. 2019 and thought about getting this for a long time. I can sit and do pre rolls couple days a week just for visiting and learning. If I had more acreage and I was much younger I would of gotten into rec. growing large scale for sure. Train has left the station for that one. Way too many growers overloaded here in Oregon.

Funny you bring this up .... I too have pondered this from many angles. I’m 30% older than you and after acquiring a few certifications and watching the political climate and graft change the landscape for big money pharma and politically connected cronies...for me,it’s either sit back and work part time as a grower or manager in a dispensary or enjoy what is happening in my own life Day to day and Let them do their own thing. No matter how F#@ked up they can make it.
of course, we’re in 2 different countries AND I know nothing Canadian except in the 1970’s we’d go over the border to buy gas and get an extra quart by the imperial gallon...😄. All in all, I guess it depends on what you need to get out of it.... There much more to it but..that’s the nutshell in my view
