Should I cut leaves that are close enough to the light to get light burn?

    Hi there,
I have 5 plants right now and I have one 600w LED up top and 4 4ft cfl lights, 3x 3000k 1x 6500k. The three plants closest to the cfl light have light burn around it but half the leaf still looks healthy and I'm sure with it being that close to the light it helps the plant, is it better to cut off leafs with half crispy light burn or keep them and just cut the burnt part?
Also, I posted about mildew, I sprayed the two infected plants and wiped them off with a hydrogen peroxide solution and it didnt work well so I just took off like 40 leaves and a little bit of bud that was infected and sprayed the rest that was only slightly infected, I think it's going to work out theres a lot of healthy uninfected leaves and bud.

Can you get rid of the cfl's, or does the LED not provide enough coverage? In my experience, compared to LED and HID, cfl's during flower are not that effective.

Cut the burnt crispy leaves so your plant doesnt allocate any of its resources for them. If a lot of leaves are burnt, you can just trim off the crispy parts leaves behind the healthy green parts, but I don't know if it's really worth saving those leaves. Hopefully someone else can advise you about whether or not it's helpful to trim burnt buds. I don't have any experience with that.

Since you have five plants (assuming all are in bloom), maybe a little LST will help you keep all plants at the same height.

As for the mold, obviously, it's entirely up to you, but I would cut my losses and trash all of the plants. Just because you don't see mold, doesn't mean it's not there. Don't risk getting sick smoking moldy buds. Start over, clean your grow space out really well, get fans and a dehumidifier for the next grow.

    Good luck!

3 of the plants haven't shown any signs of it and the seeds I ordered (blackjack from nirvana) aren't going to be here for 3 weeks so I might as well let them finish, it is my first grow after all. I have 3000k bulbs in the cfl which are red spectrum and are supposedly good for blooming, why would I want less light? isn't it more beneficial to have more light then less? This first grow is with clones I bought on craigslist and when I got them I saw small signs of the mold on just one plant but didn't know that was what it was and then it spread to two other plants but four of the plants are really healthy and the one that was the most infected has less then half of its leaves but no signs of mildew, I only saw it on the old big leaves now it just has small new ones that seem clean. I have good circulation and humidity, it's in my garage (which can get pretty hot sometimes during the day ~92) with one exhaust fan that also manages to pull air in the tent and a clip fan.

You're right, more light is usually better, just the benefit of cfl's during bloom are usually negligible compared to the cost of running them. Plus, aren't your cfl's burning your girls? If you want to keep them, switch out those low PAR 3000K bulbs and put the higher PAR 6500K's back in (all of them). You'll get a more full spectrum effect. Apparently cannabis plants absorb more blue-spectrum than most people think, which is why HPS & MH combinations yield awesome results.

There's a good article I read about new research on cannabis photon absorption; unfortunately, I can't find it right now. I'll look more and post it later.

      Heres a picture of everything, should I have 2 3000k and 2 6500k for a bigger spectrum? or 3:1?
