    Trying to understand LEC

So remember this is a caveman you're talking to -- and really I guess I'm just looking for a simple yes or no -- So -- Ceramic Discharge Metal halide (CDM) also marketed as Ceramic Metal Halide (CMH) and Light Emitting Ceramic (LEC). All of these are in fact the same technology, So my question is??? Is the Light Emitting Ceramic (LEC) and Ceramic Metal Halide the same thing -- The LEC and the CMH bulb are the same thing or different?

    Thanks

no worries, im no expert but LEC is a trademark by sun systems, it uses those bulbs you stated and has a low rate pulse for the turn on that diminishes wear and tear dramatically, smthg like 5% after 8,000 hours and 10% after 20,000

Thanks Sonnyhad, Do you know off hand what the footprint of light they are good for? I am only assuming you got the 120v model and not the 240?
