You can put lid on bowl or in zip lock. Check daily, make sure they don't drown, wet towle good, sitting in water too much water bad.
    here was germ example.

Thanks guys. My mistake is that I didn't water my coco/perlite mix before planting. Once I watered, I probably flooded the seeds and they went too deep to sprout...just my guess. I germ in pHed water for a day or two, then to paper towels if needed, although they usually pop in the water.

I've had the worst luck using any method besides the paper towel. Hoping to break that trend and use rockwool cubes next grow.

Everyone has their favorite germination method! Why not stick with the one that works best for you? I've also had really great germination rates with the paper towel method! I think it may be my favorite method

So my little 'Trainwreck is chugging right along. I fed her yesterday and she's now working on her 3rd node. The other seeds are germing in paper towels for the second day...should be planting them in the next day or so.

So it's Day 29 and the Trainwreck is growing nicely. I gave her a little trim today. I'll probably feed her tomorrow. She's a little long, but time will fix that. I planted one of the Wipeout Expresses a week ago and it's been slow to sprout. I'm a little discouraged with that. I should be growing 5 plants, not 2 smh. O well...

The ones you have are looking promising for sure...Im gonna subscribe cuz I'm really interested to see how that Wipeout Express works out_ have some seeds but haven't planted em yet....I had a white widow that sprouted this last time but didn't do well enough to keep her instead of a Gold Mine that was doing much better.

These are before and after trimming pics of the Trainwreck. I'm waiting for the Wipeout to sprout...she's slow so far.

OK so the Wipeout Express has passed on...she never sprouted or shed her shell once planted. The Trainwreck is coming along at Day 32. I trimmed two more fans off yesterday. The other trim spots are forming their tops nicely. I re-soaked the other 3 seeds...the Trainwreck and White Widow both popped, so they're back in paper towels. The other Wipeout Express is just siting there. This is truly an experiment lol! Chugga Chugga...onward!

So we're at Day 36(28 from sprout) and this is my little Trainwreck. I topped, tied and fed her today. She seems to be spreading nicely and not really showing any stress from the trimming so far. I planted a Trainwreck and a White Widow that cracked their shells. Given the pace of this grow, I put them in 1 gallon pots to conserve water in case they don't sprout. I'll keep you guys posted.

Looking good MrGreen, sorry to hear about your dead seeds.

I plant in a solo with its bottom cut off inside my larger final pot. This gives the seed a small contained area to start in which makes her early growth and watering easier. As an added bonus if I decide to trash a seedling, I can just pull out the solo cup and keep the surrounding medium in the larger pot. Once the seedlings are established I just cut the solo cup out and there's no real "transplant" so no shock.

That is an awesome idea! I will definitely incorporate that in future grows. Saves a lot of water and nutes in the beginning...thanks!

                Hey guys,

So we're at Day 54 from seed with the Trainwreck and she seems to be chugging along. I thought she would be flowering by now, but I'm not stressing. As long as she's healthy, she can take her time. I've been trying to keep her clean and I've also tied her up some...think she's spreading nicely. Since my last post, she's been fed twice and watered once. Temp stays in the mid 70s and humidity is fluctuating from 35% - 50%.

Making progress, hopefully she'll hit her stretch soon and get some height
Looks like you ran out of coco mix and filled that pot a bit short, I did the exact same thing last night!

Day 56 and we have flower! She actually started flowering 2 days ago. I fed her this morning along with a little light pruning. I'm trying to keep her clean so she gets enough light. She's growing nicely, so I added a couple more ties today. I really wish the other seeds had sprouted but oh well. The Train rolls on!

She's actually growing nicely. I have her tied up a bit. The pot is filled that much because I had planned for 5 plants, but this is the only one that sprouted.
