I've learned when it comes to fertilizers, just stay away from the box store brands because they seem to just dump whatever into it and not care about it. But all the other one's are more or less pretty much the same, and they will all grow a plant just a matter of how much the plant love it. I've had one fertilizer brand which some of my plants in the gardens love, and other plants slow their growth down on, its not the company name; but rather what is inside that fertilizer that is making that difference. Think of a drink like coffee, some like it with sugar or milk, others do not... how much sugar or milk, well that depends of your personal preference, plants are simply reacting in the same way. Plant types, different strains, even growing conditions all play a part on the fertilizer's... The one day I ran into an issue with Calcium in my plants out of no where, and when I went on an all out hunt to understand why all of a sudden... I then learned humidity plays a very important role in how the plant is able to take up calcium which is in turn the highway for all other nutrients to be uptaken by the plant. So all I had to do was make some adjustments until the humidity outside came back to its normal range and the problem was easily fixed, but it was one of the ways the environment affects the nute uptake of the plant, and some people perhaps would have switched fertilizers and then the problem would have gone away, never realizing it was a humidity problem and not a fertilizer problem.

The best thing you can do if you question if a company for fertilizers or something else is good or not... search all over the web, see what other real customers are saying in Forums and reviews about it, a Google Search really makes a big difference in finding this information in minutes. Just don't let the opinions of others be the only information you look at and use, but also look into the products claims and see if they are also true, I just saw one the other day for an LED light which claims "ZERO HEAT" being made from the LED light, now that is a flat out lie because its impossible, yet they have "customers reviews" which claim it to be the truth; those being paid customers to give the review the company wants people to think is the truth. Hence why it is always better to do some real research into seeing if their claims are true or not and look to see what others are really saying about a product. But when it comes to fertilizers I'd love to say they are all one in the same being equal, but that isn't true as one big named box store fertilizer company got busted a few years ago putting known TOXIN's into the fertilizers and bird food they sell which weren't even listed on the bottle as a cheap way to get rid of toxic chemicals without having to properly dispose of them. Thus why I warn against big named fertilizer companies and I encourage others to do their own research into companies they are going to buy from. Hope this helps you.
The only way to become the a good at anything is to read about it and learn all you can about it, and if it's something you love why not become an expert in it? The best place for anyone to start is at the beginning and make sure we didn't overlook anything, so let's go back to the basics.

That helps more then ya think. Thanks very much I will be doing all kinds of research from now on. I always try and be deliegent when it comes to nutes and know its a money racket for most companies. I started growing to know exactly what I was putting in my system come harvest time butnow knowing what yoy told me about the toxins I may just throw them out and make my own home made nutrients.
