    Finishing RSO

My place is selling ounces of pre-ground weed at $25 so I thought I would make some RSO chocolate. Here's how I finished it.
Since I couldn't quite tell when the ethanol was all gone, and since I thought to decarb proper instead of relying on the ethanol evaporation to do it, I put the bowl of RSO in the oven at 235° for half an hour and took care of both decarbing and evaporating the final ethanol at the same time. Worked like a charm!
This is working with weed that has not been decarbed. Doing that in my apartment would be too smelly. My method only gave off a little smell. And that $25 ounce was well worth it.
    Good morning, Dave.

    Hi. Dabber.
I make RSO, too. But usually with propanol. There is an easy test to determine if all the alcohol has boiled off. Take an unbent paper clip, dip the tip in the RSO and burn it with a lighter.
If it sparks or flashes there is still more alcohol to boil off. If not, you're done.
Do a web search for "Enota". It is a European cannabis company that has a video on it.

I do the taste test. If it tastes like burning, there's still ethanol.
Did a web search. Nothing for a cannabis company named "Enota". Don't know from propanol. I had some 200-proof laying around, saw the $25 ounce thing, and thought I would run some RSO. It is much easier to use things you have than things you do not have, wot?
      Good morning, Dave.

Agreed, Dabber. I use, reuse, repurpose stuff all of the time.
