    Dead Plants tell no tales

My plants about 1/4 of them have been dying and no clue what is wrong with them. That was until I found a small bowl that contained clones that had slid into a blind spot in the tent and didn't realize I was missing it. I have a huge feeling that little bowl of clones started something that I might now have to toss everything and start all over =( Heres the pictures. This is extremely depressing.

Wow, Xanthor, so sorry!!! Hopefully some will be salvageable!!! So what did the bowl do: start a mould contamination? I have no idea what's going on, hopefully others will be up soon and will help you!! Thank goodness it's Saturday!!!!!!

I started this project 5 months ago. Tuesday is when the plants started showing signs of sickness and at first I thought some got overwatered, but the meter showed dangerously dry so watered them. As for the bowl, I think when my home got broken into last week, whoever vandalized the two charcoal filter fans might have bumped the tent which caused a set of clones to fall into one of those openings you put the venths through so when the other plants got watered, it ended up collecting water, and as I said in another post, mold here breeds very quickly. To lose close to 17 adult plants and 22 clones due to a small bowl, its just shocking. Despite the anti mold solution I use, I guess its so much it can do to fight it off. those dead clones look like they got cocooned. I just threw out a large zip lock bag of leafs. Think it be a bad idea to even think of using them for oil making.

Looks like some serious root problems. What is your root zone PH?
      completed 7 grows
what I have learned so far:
      environment maters more than nutrients
at least a dab of nutrients in every watering
effective flushing before harvest is critical to quality

It's actually 6.5. I was already thinking on the same lines and tested the water going in and out. Going in was 6.7. Coming out 6.5. I also think some of my plants I thought were female are male as well. The preflowers on the ones I tossed before there was no doubt on. Now I'm looking at some of the plants again and there all 14 weeks old and the preflowers have no pistols.

Is the male plant leafs worth saving to make oil with? Few plants are male so cutting them down and wasn't sure if there is anything worth the trouble cooing up the leafs for oil.

There won't be enough of the good stuff in the male leaves. I don't feel it would be worth the effort. I feel for you man.

So sorry things went so wrong. Doubt it would be worth it to use the male leaves.

The majority of the dying plants, turned out to be males!!!!! I was under the opinion when I sexed these plants over a month ago that the ones that showed little balls which to me looked like little lettuce heads, that if the others didn't have these, they were female. I ended up tossing 9 plants and 15 clones. This just fixed my space issue. I'm storing the plants in another room and taking the tent down so I can get the other one up. I'm wondering if its possible to save the plants from getting infected further by using SM-90 more often. I tossed all infected clones which now leaves me with 10 adult plants and 19 clones. I cut off the bad foliage so now wondering if its safe or not to continue growing these plants. Id hate to have to toss them all out =(

"This just fixed my space issue." It's funny, though: now you get to set up the new tent, and you have more space TO SEE WHAT'S GOING ON!!! So maybe part of the lesson/blessing is never to get so crowded that you can't keep track of who's who and what's happening at the back.

Can you post some more pics, close ups and whole plants? Pleeeze???

alltatup I'm going to take fresh pictures in a little bit. Something was seriously wrong with my plants still, and when I took a reading during watering today, the outflow was 4.6 PH, not 6.6. I then tested what was going in and to my surprise, its 4.8. The water I then noticed has a slight pinkish tinge which should not be because the 50 gallon water tank is PH balanced only and absolutely no food goes in it, only mold deterrent SM-90, hydrogen peroxide, and normally PH down. I can understand the heat we have had effecting the water slightly, but not that much and the pink tinge threw me off. What threw me off even more, when I added PH up to a gallon of the water, it would not go up. It stayed at 4.8. It was then I figured maybe the digital tester needed calibrating so used a packet of 6.86 calibration fluid and it came up 6.9. I dropped it slightly so it would bounce to 6.9 with just a sight turn of the screw, but other than that, the water kept giving me a reading of 4.8. I think something got dumped into the water so made up 3 separate gallons of water set to 6.5 and one gallon of food water. taking pictures today and compare them to a few days from now and see what happens. Id love to have this water tested before I empty the tank. Obviously its not good to try saving if I can't even get it to go up a digit using 1 teaspoon to a gallon of PH up. Sorry took so long in replaying back alltatup . Trying to get things back into working order and haven't had enough time to catch up and breath almost.

That's really strange about the water, Xanthor. Pink tinge is not good! When you say that you think something got dumped in the water, do you mean you think someone's messing with the water, or is it safe from tampering? I don't know the entire story (I'm gonna have to go back are read some of your previous posts), but it really concerns me that people are messing with you, your house and your family!!

alltatup The storage tank that is kept outside was definitely tampered with. The pink tinge I had thought might be gasoline, but there is no smell and nothing on the top of the water (oily) What I do notice is it causes the plants to break down and the water collected from the dying ones show an oil after, most likely the THC? I'm beginning to see a lot of evidence that what took place Friday March 3rd with the break-in might actually be two different people. What it looks like is the rogue officer attempted to break in through my rear door and failed, but at the same time my neighbor who had broken into my home in the past, saw this and decided to take advantage of the situation and broke in after the bad cop left. Lastly, also sorry for not posting the pictures yet, I'm going to do that after this response. I had to format my phone last night, but not before making a complete backup. It was infected and found out the GPS was activated remotely where the phone didn't show it, but notifications warned me it was on. That Friday, my wife who left with the kids to go roller-skating, forgot to charge her own phone so I gave her mine and kept hers on the charger. I believe the one who broke in, thought I had left using the GPS and found out after they got into my house that I was in fact home. In a few days, I'll have 14 cameras and a much improved alarm system. When I go to court to deal with On-Trac, I'm also going to attempt to get a court order so my children can carry a Taser to and from school, but must hand them in when they get to the school and pick them up when the leave, but this isn't possible without a judges ruling. Otherwise if my kids try this without a court order, they and myself would be arrested. Last year my daughter almost got pulled into a car, was trapped in a 7-11 during a robbery, and her friend got stabbed in the head right in front of her by some lunatic. I'm against children carrying guns. But I do believe in bad areas, and this area is getting worse each year which is why I'm moving, that children that are old enough should be allowed to carry pepper spray, or Taser to keep themselves protected and the federal laws are putting them at risk because obviously, the ones breaking the laws don't care what weapons they carry.

Found out what got into my water tank for the plants. Its a commercial spray my neighbor uses for trees and weeds. You can see it in the large fiberglass tank on his truck. He has been hooking a hose up to the water line to fill his truck and most likely doesn't have the required backflow valve that prevents whatever is in the line from going back into the water supply so ended up in my water tank for the plants. Lucky the line from the tank to my home has a backflow valve otherwise it could have gotten into our drinking water too. Unless that's failing which might explain us getting sick on and off. I'm removing the line shortly and will just have to drag a hose over when I need to replenish what I need.

And now for the mess you all been asking for >_< These are the jungle photos I took from the 2x4 tent. I haven't put the larger one up yet because I would have to take it down again to put in the new security system so keeping them all together and will take separate plant pictures later today when I go to fix them up more, The plants seem healthier today after 12 hours ago I applied a lot of chemicals to promote vegetative and flower growth plus prevent mold from growing further and keeping my eyes open for any more mold deaths,
