Hello, thank you for taking the time to read my post. I'm currently teaching myself to grow. The strain I'm growing is banana OG, and it is a photoperiod. I started this plant September 5 so I'm right around the 6-week point. I've had a few issues along the way, and I wanted to share what I've done and ask for your opinion on how my plant looks. I Have been growing in a 2x2x6 tent. I have an inline fine connected to the top and a heater pointed at an intake vent in the bottom. My room is extremely stable, and the plant has been sitting around 80 degrees and 45% humidity the past few weeks. I didn't have any issues with my grow until around the start of October. I noticed big fan leaves at the bottom start turning yellow and I thought they were dying (photo labeled 10/4 shows this) I didn't understand why this was happening, but I defoliated all the fan leaves with yellow and added a layer of topsoil. I added Gaia green 4-4-4, and worm castings to the topsoil and let the plant recover a little. I then topped the plant. at photo 10/8 you can see how it was. The plant has been growing extremely well since then. I started to get a little yellowing on fan leaves recently and added some Epsom salt in water to boost magnesium levels. hopefully that is the cause of the yellowing. You can see the plant today in 10/16. One question I had is, how much longer should I let it grow in Veg state? I only have a 2x2 so I don't want it getting too big to the point it will hurt yield. My next question is how often should I be feeding it? I was planning on doing a feed early next week of Gaia green 4-4-4 and more worm casting. I was going to let it grow until first or second week of November and then switch to flower. Should I let it flower sooner? Thank you!

Welcome aboard.
Veg until the plant reaches about half of the total height you want/expect it to grow. MJ can easily double or triple in height during the stretch.
I don't grow in soil so won't comment on the feed question.Growing Autos and Photos, Gorilla Grow tents, AC Infinity fans, exhaust, filter, humidifier, and controller, HLG Lamps, 50/50 Coco/Perlite, Autopot system, BlueLab PH Controller, CX Horticulture nutrients
