Yeah. Self-watering pots are horrible, even for the houseplants are intended. Especially for dope. You don't want plants sitting in runoff for stagnation issues and nutrient buildup. They are only effective if the roots reach the bottom of your pots.
SWP's are good if you have fat root balls and are going to be away for a few days and don't have a trusted cohort who can water in your absence.Tap dancing ninja.

I have the vivosun flex feed, just bought them for this current run I'm doing. They say up to 5 gallon fabric and I have 8 gallon square fabric so they are pretty tight, but I have to say I absolutely love them. Look at my post "stinky grow" to see how they are doing, been on the self watering pots the whole time. I use soil with tons of homemade compost so I do not use any bottled nutrients. Honestly these are the happiest plants I've ever had and I'm pretty sure its because the watering is perfect.
