    Build a tent vs buy

Pros and cons of building your own tents vs buying?

    #2
My 3x3x6 tent cost $100. I cannot build a sufficient tent for that much money. By sufficient I mean structurally stable to hold a light, opens and closes easy, light-tight, sturdy, fall apart when I touch it. Those sorts of things. But someone else is going to post the tent they made for a nickel from stuff gathered around the house.
Something to consider. Autos do not need to be grown in a tent like fem/photo because they do not need dark periods.

Agree 100%. I'd buy a decent tent an not look back.

I have most everything on hand to build one. I have the mylar coming today. Probably going to have $60ish into it. 4x4x80 on Amazon start from $80. Used to have to Vevosun years ago. Gave 1 away and 1 got ruined from cats climbing it. Putting my autos in tents to keep my animals from messing with them. My ceiling is right at 8 ft so probably make it 7.5 ft tall. Hope to keep my plants under 5 ft tall.

Making your own grow space is cool too. Back in the day they had no tents and we made our own indoor growing space. Amazing diy creations.

In Canada my 2x2x5 tent cost me less than $150. I tried the closet and space bucket and various other stuff before I got the tent. The tent is the best. I could make one but that would take too long. Check Canada Grow Supplies online. They are based in Montreal. Great service.

My first grow was in a DIY tent, a whole lot of pain. As above, buy a tent, cheap as chips and much easier to get in & out of and pack away when you need to.

Tents are cheap and last a long time. There is no way it is worth your effort to build rather than buy.
