You may get several opinions. Those pots look to be about 1/2 to 2/3 full you can fold the sides down and use as is. The size of the pot will determine how big the plant can get. Or you can transplant and add more dirt. It's really your call. Are you following a Gaia guide for the nutrients?

Need more soil? No. You can grow in a Solo cup.
And what golfnrl said, plus, every time you transplant, you shock the plant and stunt its growth.

golfnrl i'm a little confused with the proportions, of the Gaia green nutrients for example, 1 tbsp per gallon of medium, especially considering because my pots aren't full 5 gallons of medium.

It looks like the amendments are measured by the gallon of medium, worked into the soil about 1"-2" and then watered. If it were me I'd estimate how many gallons of dirt are in each bag and add nutrients that way.

@Rwise wouldn't that cover the leaves?

According to the chart it looks like you can add the All Purpose 2 weeks after preparing your soil. You're a little beyond that but not to much. So I think it's OK to begin with the amendments, but at the same time watch the plants. They will tell you if they are getting too much or if there is a problem.

How far above your plants do you have your light? Are you sure it is 300 watts from the wall?

golfnrl the lights are 24 inches above the plants it's the recommended. Height for my lights from the manufacturer. The description on Amazon says it's 300 W. I don't have one of those light meters to check

24" sounds about right for veg. Some light manufacturers' overstate the wattage for the lamp. If you can locate the power label amps x volts = watts. Knowing the wattage from the wall will help you confirm/determine if you have enough light for your space.
