    Seeking videos of a “chop”

Do you know of any videos of chopping and hanging a plant? I want to understand what I’m getting into. Like how long does it take to chop a single plant? Does it have to be done in one sesh?

How long it takes to chop a plant has a lot of variables. How many flowers are there? Fan leaves? How tall. How bushy etc. and it will depend on your trim skills. How well do you want to manicure your buds? The bigger the yield the longer it takes to trim. You can cut, trim, and hang the entire plant or trim each bud on each branch and hang the branches. It usually takes me over a hour per plant and I hang each branch.

Your harvest can be staged. That’s not uncommon.

Be sure to read the extensive info on drying and curing at the GWE site. Lots of good info there.

This guy says it’s better to do the entire plant at once.

        It certainly sounds easier.

You'll spend time trimming your harvest whether it's cut up to dry or the whole plant is hung at once. I've seen that vid before. It's a good start. Drying the whole plant at once takes a little longer to dry. If you are considering it, try it and see if you like it. It is easier as far as hanging it up to dry, but at some point those branches have to come off and those buds have to be trimmed. If I had the space and time I would kick the tires on it some more. I dry by cutting each branch and hanging it. Trimming is another topic of discussion. Some swear by dry trimming, some by wet trimming. I've done both and prefer the wet trim.
