I’ve got a small room, with an attached bathroom. I plan on putting a dehumidifier in the bathroom. But I’m unsure of what to do for hanging the plants. Any suggestions on what I can do?

What do you do for creating a drying room?

That's a blank slate, awesome. A simple solution is a clothes line. You can use eye hooks in the ceiling and hang rods from them. You can buy a clothes rack. You can build a frame and hang rods from it. oh, and clothes hangers. I was using clothes pins but now just use a stem to hang the bud upside down on the clothes hangers. 1/2" pvc cut to length works well for the rods. Available at a big box store or a hardware store. Can you control the temps in the dry room?Last edited by golfnrl; 08-15-2025, 07:48 AM.24"x48"x95" Gorilla Grow tent, AC Infinity fans, exhaust, filter, humidifier, and controller, HLG 350 Rspec, 50/50 Coco/Perlite, Autopot system, BlueLab PH Controller, CX Horticulture nutrients full line, growing: Auto Zamaldelica x 2

It’s the bottom floor of the house, so it’s always the coldest. I also have a dehumidifier down there. I won’t get 60 degrees, maybe 68.

Sounds like the temps won’t be a problem. If the dehumidifier will keep up you may have a great place to dry. My guess is you can keep it dark. With that temp range and steady RH you have a good starting point. But how to hang? Have you seen the barrel shaped drying racks? I used one once. I didn’t like the flat buds. Some folks swear by them though.

Ideally 60⁰F and 60%RH
Keep airflow and air movement to an absolute minimum. Its quite OK to let the RH start higher and as the plant dries the RH should reduce naturally.
At those numbers 7 to 9 days is the norm here with wet trimmed whole branches hung.
Ideal dry time for terp retention is 7 days according to one study I read, but longer is fine. Shorter is not.Flower Room: 11' x 7' x 7.5'H, 480w AC, 13gal/day dehumidifier, 1.5gal ultrasonic humidifier, 60gal (27gal usable) nute tank, 16" pedestal fan & 18" wall fan. Lighting and climate automated. Hand watering.
Veg Cupboards: Two 4x2x6H cupboards. SF2000 Evo in one SF7000 in other. Climate controlled and automated. Hand watering
Aeroponics Low Pressure Bucket: 20W LED. 5 clones & 20W LED 11 clones
Lights: Mars Hydro FC-E1200W, SF-7000, SF-2000 evo in flower room.
Medium: Coco/perlite, 7.2gal pots, no drains
Current Grow: 5 x Photos Franklin's Orange Zkittles x Sour Diesel in flower room, 3 Franklin's White Widow x Sour Diesel Clones, 13 x Orange ZkittleZ x Sour Diesel clones in Aeroponics buckets x 2.
Last Grow: A mix

You do need a little bit of air movement, but almost none is fine. The more air movement you have the faster it will strip moisture from your buds.
I just run a 50ltr(105pint)/day dehumidifier in a room of about 20m²(220ft²) and that's heaps of air movement. If you can see any movement in the buds that's plenty of air movement.

My dry space is the grow tent, closed, no exhaust, no fans. One time I had the exhaust fan on the lowest setting unbeknownst to me, and made crispy critters after about 7 days and before I realized it. If I have RH issues that's controlled in the lung room. I've also dried in the garage because of the amount of bud, again, in a cabinet, closed, no fan. Some pharmers use a fan, I no longer use them.Last edited by golfnrl; 08-19-2025, 12:08 PM.
