    High humidity

I have a 3' x 4' x 6' tent with a small dehumidifier in there. I just turned over to flower, and after I water, the humidity goes above 60%. Is this normal or should I get a bigger dehumidifier?

What does it drop back too?
Mine spikes to 60 for half a day after watering too but drops back to 45, except I have to run a humidifier to keep it there. First time I've been trying to control my humidity but I'd say it's normal.

It usually drops back to 50 after 2 days or so, but as soon as the temp goes up the humidity follows.

My guess is you are using fabric pots. If so, what you describe sounds normal, as long as it drops back in range. Depending on how many plants are in that tent you may have a hard time keeping the RH low enough with a dehumidifier inside the tent. Putting the dehumidifier in the lung room is better, if you can do it.

Why would you guess fabric pots?

I'm thinking about purchasing a grow tent. How many plants can you fit comfortably in that 24x48?

I like two in the 24x48. I grow in 5 gallon pots. You could use smaller pots and cram more in there. I've got a manifold growing in it right now, she's all alone but has filled the tent.

My experience with them. More moist surface area exposed to the atmosphere. I grow with auto pots. They are a bottom feed wicking system, when the system is turned on the fabric stays moist all the time. That seems to affect the RH in the tent. In the 2x4 not really an issue. In the 4x4 it is something I’ve had to pay attention to. No biggie though.

You're right about the fabric pots.
