Ok so I'm thinking about doing this if it makes any sense to anyone but myself. Am I being too ambitious? Can anyone seen any problems with this idea?

Pretty ambitious for your first go but definitely doable if you have two separate spaces. You'll want to know which varieties pollinate which others do that's out the window if you do an open pollination. Definitely possible to do just one branch of each but as I said your reversed plants will need a separate space and you'll need to be really really cautious about cross pollination. This can be extremely difficult as pollen gets everywhere and you might end up in a situation where you think you're being careful yet your plants are filled with seeds even where you didn't intend and then your not sure which is which. For your first run it might be easiest to just reverse one plant or grow three and start reversing all three in case one or two don't reverse and then you can pick the best growing and destroy the rest.
Also I have some Aunt Ginny enjoyed pollen I can send you, it's probably still viable but it's an autoflower and mixing the two can get generally problematic down the line (trust me).
I'm just remembering. I also have some photo period pollen that someone gave me that I'm happy to send, it might not be viable anymore. I don't remember how old it is. I'm also not sure if it's feminized but I can check my records.
