    Grow Light Change/Addition in grow

    Well, iam just asking…
actually under 400w, will get some led‘s soon.
should I keep them back till next grow, or would the more light support the actual grow?

What’s you idea bout measuring the par values?
    it’s an 400W HPS actually on 120x120cm ( 4 inch’s x 4 inch’s)
guessed that’s already to low par.
just struggling with decision, to defoliate more (includes some small buds) or just put more light wattages into it.
got an hand on 720W LED grow light and 2x 150W under canopy bars (which I could use for sides/top too)

I don’t want sacrifice bud mass and quality much
just was worried, if it’s too much stress, if I add led lights to the 400w HPS. (Thinking bout the bars, the grow light will be used next grow)

It's pretty important to be able to measure how much light you're giving to the plants with some form of par meter which will give you your ppfd, then you can work out the DLI "daily light integral" to optimise your grow. Few sites on google have calculators you put in how much PPFD at the canopy, how many hours a day the light turned on for and what stage you're at and it tells you what ppfd you need. I reckon you could add the 150watt bars to supply light under or side of canopy without any problems and just wait until setup for next grow before swapping HPS for LED.
      PS 120cm is 1.2 metres or 3ft 11"

        Ohh, thanks!
Seems found an topic I should read/study =)
I just guessed my 400w HPS would be too weak, to reach the recommended PPFD even with led bars.
But you right, I should be patient. Finish my first grow well, and keep the LED‘s ready for next grow 😎🤘
Iam every time confused about some units like inches, foots, gallons etc. developed the habit to give European and American standard units, so everyone from the world can imagine my values without asking internet every time if there an unusual unit 😅😁👍
        3ft 11" Does this mean 3 feet’s and 11 inches?

Haha yea there's always something to learn about it. I'd love to do a course on growing like go to an actual facility where they growing medical weed and work there for a couple of years.
Yea heaps ppl on here using around 400w lights and get great results.
Haha I know what you mean I'm an Aussie so I gotta convert shit all the time. Yea that's right and when you see a number and " next to it they talking inches. The one that gets me is the gallons and fluid ounces... What's wrong with litres ? What size is that V8? 6.2ltr or 1.6 gallon? Haha anyway that's getting off course.
