    Help identifying

Can anyone tell me what this is. It just came up in 2 days. Asking for a friend. I told him I didn’t know what it was or what to do

Looks like your friend has a rotting plant.
    What's the setup?

It’s in the ground. Is there any chance of saving

        Call that strain OG Toast.
Do an autopsy. Cut that bud down to the next node intersection and slice it in half from stem to bud. That'll tell you what's going on.
What does the rest of the plant look like and are there other plants nearby?

Could well be bud rot, however a worm may have cut this bud off, Is it still attached? IF a worm cut it off you'll find said worm underneath it.

I think he said all the tips of buds on plant are like that. As far as I know the plant looks alright just the tips of all the buds in like 2 days turned brown like the pic.
I thank yall for all the help. I will let my buddy know.
Looking forward to the fact that I now have somewhere to turn for valuable information. I’ve been trying to grow for a while now and I have had some decent success but is nothing like I see on post and in mags. I’m learning more and more stuff every day.
These are a few pics from some of my last grows
I’ve only done soil grows so far. I’m really interested if a hydroponic grow but I’ve never done one before
