Help not sure what’s going on here

Came out here this morning and seen this. We have gophers in our area but have not seen any gophers activity around this one so I am at a loss. Any advice will be helpful

depends where you live, in ct. it's groundhogs, or a fox den

I live in Tuolumne county ca. we don’t have foxes or groundhogs I don’t think but we do have gophers and coyotes which is why we use cages instead of just planting in the ground. Is there any way to save the plant?

That looks like something dug in with a bit of force, not just surface scratching. The way the soil’s pushed aside makes me think it's more than gophers, it could be raccoons, skunks, or even a fox digging for bugs, leftover amendments, or just out of curiosity.

It looks like it is either dry or its roots have been disrupted by the digging and are not transporting water. Have you tried watering it? Time to break out the shotgun.
Don't worry, be happy, grow sticky buds.

Yes I’ve watered it as soon as I seen it drooping. I also gave it some compost tea. I checked the irrigation lines and they seem to be working too. I checked the ground and there’s nothing digging around it

gophers are not the problem, with those tubes maybe root rot from the ground being to wet. So is the soil wet? Maybe a pest eating the roots
Mist it getting the under side of the leaves wet.
Maybe transplant it deeper in the ground.

The ground isn’t wet. It gets about 100° here so the soil does not stay moist. I have the irrigation set to water 2x a day for 40 min each time. This seems to be the only plant reacting this way all others are doing great

Looks like it has a disease or over watered to me, the marking on the ground could be from the run off continuously going in the same direction.... If it was a pest it would more than likely be bent over or broken.

Do you have it in some sort of wire basket for moles or something? Anyway, I'd set up a trail cam and see if iit's something digging,

Standing water around the base. Had a lot of water pass by quick. Once the water receeds you have a nice stack of grass clippings. Low area .

Over watered a bit with hot weather. Watering once in the morning for a few minutes should be fine on 100⁰ days....they are going to suffer regardless
