ID:	649723New grow! Figured I'd share while they look pretty and full of promise before they get blasted by the heat this week, the pests show up, and everything goes to shit. On the left, top and middle are Sherbet Queen autos, bottom is Special Kush 1 photoperiod. On the right, the tiny seedling is Purple Punch auto, middle is Sherbet Queen auto, and bottom is OG Kush photoperiod.

They're all different sizes. The biggest 3 were started in a paper towel. The two moderate sized ones were direct sown later, after birds ate the other seedlings. The tiny one is tiny because I had a terrible germination rate on the Purple Punch seeds. I got replacements and stuck one in the dirt.

Soil mix is what I had on hand. Last year's root balls weren't that impressive, so I used a fair amount of peat and perlite to lighten the soil this year. I mixed in a bunch of Down to Earth's cactus and succulent fertilizer, more than the recommended rate. I've been giving them a little all purpose Miracle Gro too when I do my veggies. I've only done MG twice this year so far, but I'll probably hit them and the rest of my veggies one or two more times with the all purpose MG for the nitrogen before switching over to MG bloom booster. It's been such a weird growing season, bouncing between cold and rainy and very hot. Nothing is growing how it should. Climate instability is good for nothing and no one.

I'm doing LST on them all because my privacy screen isn't as impressive this year due to the wonky spring. The landscape staples are working out great for the LST. I like being able to move them easily. I got the 6" ones. The longer ones might be necessary as the plants continue to grow, but we'll see. The different varieties have very different growing habits. The OG Kush is easily bent and trained, but the Special Kush 1 is very dense and rigid, even in brand new growth. Sherbet Queen autos are fairly easy to manipulate. I accidentally snapped one bending it, but I taped it. It's been 24 hours, and it hasn't started wilting, so maybe I saved it? Time will tell.

I have my doubts that the photos will make it to harvest, but I figured I'd give it a try. If they work out, I'll have to change my signature.
