Just started some seeds. I completed my first harvest at the beginning of this year. I plan to increase yield this next grow. Three out of four seeds I started this last week popped. I'm using regular seeds again so I'll have to sex the plants later. Hopefully all 3 I have so far are female. I also plan to clone for the first time this year too. Doing Coco 70-75% Perlite 25-30%. I tried coco coir and hydroton last year with great results. They have perlite and coco bricks at my local hardware store, so I decided to finally use what everyone else is. Still using General Hydro Flora Trio with CaliMag. Also still flowering in a ~2x3 space with a 100w LED. I have other LED lights I might add later if needed. I also might try flowering some plants in the shed with my old 185w blurple light. I upgraded my nute res to a 5 gallon Coleman blue water carrier. I cut a square for access to mix and test on the top and for the air stones. Now I can dispense nutrients as needed, cooler style. It'll work for a little while. For veg at least.

The evolution of the system never stops. If you are using coco bricks they should be well washed then buffered with calmag before use.Don't worry, be happy, grow sticky buds.

Yeah the fun of reinventing the wheel over and over. I didn't flush this brick, but I used the other bricks of the set last year and they grew without issue. I did flush the coco last year though by adding calmag and PH'd water to 5.7. I just feel like I just started in a small cell with a small amount of coco/perlite and I will be flushing fast with each feeding of PH'd nutes. When going up to a 3 or 5 gallon container I'll give the coco a good flush of PH'd calmag water.

Over 24 hours of growth. They're growing next to some habanero seedlings, which are next to California white sage, lavender, and rosemary seedlings. I think I'm cleansing my plants with my plants. Only good vibes please! I'm spraying 1tsp/gal of each GH bottle with a spray bottle. I see the benefit of going light nutes right from the start.

Number 4 still doesn't appear to have germinated. I have plenty more seeds. I just bought some more coco and perlite, so I'll be ready to repot soon. They got a little bit leggy, but no issue. I moved all my other repotted taller plants to another light and got the light closer to the seedlings at 25% strength. They look healthy, just slowly feeding them. I'm getting my flowering space prepped little by little. I want to try doing a mini SOG setup. I have a bunch of 2.4 liter containers that I can use to grow up to 6 plants together on one LED panel. Which is actually the legal limit here for home cultivation. This isn't a lot, but it's enough for personal use and to maximize the output in the space I have. A small setup helps me learn while having less chance for error.

I moved my 100W LED panel back to my flower space. Many of these plants will be moved within the next month. The blurple sure does do the trick for veg, but man that harsh blue and then the red (with bloom switch) are more challenging to grow under. I trimmed the burned tips and the cots on number 2. Part aesthetics and part I want the plant to focus on new growth only. They're all doing well. I got the lower waste tub put in and I gave all my plants a good feeding. I gave number 2 a bit less and didn't totally soak it yet. It probably still needs to set more roots.Last edited by apacin0; 05-29-2025, 07:05 PM.

Lettuce, 2 cilantro, kale, jalapeño, habanero, and MJ in that pic.
I also moved seed #2 back under the 100W. It's doing well, just growing slower than 1&3.
My seeds are mixed cultivars in a vial so it's random on what plant I'll get, but they're all good strains.
The last one smelled and tasted amazing! It was kinda citrusy and sweet. I was thinking maybe strawberry banana. Could've been another sweet citrusy strain.

The plants are doing well. #1 and #3 are likely the same genetics, they're growing very similar and fast. I'm likely going to top them in a week or less. The new seed #4 popped, but because I had a spoon there blocking the light, it grew out and got stuck at the spoon with a helmet head. It's starting to grow the first true leaves awkwardly. Oh well it'll pair with seed #2 that is growing slowly.
