Questionable Pot Size Trial Grow

Hi folks. Been awhile for me to post. Due to vacation timing and a few other things, this grow is kinda messed up, but now I am going to continue to see in person what effect pot size will have with living soil grow.
The STORY - went on vacation for 3 weeks in April and wanted to get spring grow in place for when i return. Tried to minimize the work for my wife, so I used soil (i prefer using coco these days) consisting of home compost, composted seaweed, and enhanced with Gaia Green all purpose - so that all she had to do was water. They were only in 1 gallon pots. I have never used as hot a soil mix so wasnt super hopeful. The plan was originally to start em flowering when I got back giving small plants that might survive without adding to the super hot soil. Only 4 of 6 survived but looking pretty good.
The grow has now morphed into a trial for me to see what effect pot size will have on a soil grow, so I have transplanted 2 into 5 gallon bags, one in a 2 gallon bag and left the others in the one gallon pots, all in super rich soil. I have also started a few more at same time as my outdoor seeds, and will have them in coco for the same grow timing - to fill in some space in the tents. 4 of the new seeds are ready to go into their coco, and the others in soil are at 6 weeks vegging.
is anyone interested in following? if so, i will try to keep up the thread and add photos. Otherwise it will satisfy my curiosity.
note: I do realize I am not maximizing the grow, but I (and close friends) am lucky enough to have lots of dope already and this is more fun that anything.
Pineapple Cookies and Blueberry are in 5 gallon soil fabric potsas since 1 week ago
Pineapple express and a Mystery seed (looks like a fast growing sativa) are in 1 gallon pots of soil (expecting will have to enhance these later)
One Mystery is in a 2 gallon fabic pot but is now looking quite sad, apprearing to have nutrient overdose.
New indoor plants are just going into their coco pots (2 gallon)- Black Death, Coco Melon, White Rhino and Do Si Dos. These will likely be in the second tent since all are favourites so I want to let em vag a little. These are not part of the trial . Photos to come.

my apologies for the delay. keeping busy, but at least took photos. it helps me to look back later, and a few folks seem interested so I'll kinda make this a grow journal. first photo is from 14 May o you can general state. I kept em all pretty flat the next photos.are pretty much as described above. More with next post.

First photo is 25th May, and next two are from 31 May. Mainly just training happening to control heoght on the bigger ones. Also some seedlings started after i got back From Mexico, a well as a couple of clones from cuttings of an early defoliation. One seedling - Tropicanan Poison Fast, is really yellow and i havent managed to get her back much yet.

The next photo is june 6 . they are spread out enough for me to get lots of bud sights, and now i try to wait for the upright branches to get up to 6 or 8 inches vertical. this gives some nice long colas, which I like. i find the longest colas i get with my lights are a foot regardless. the flaw in this method is that I get lots of little buds and i have to do a lot of micro-training to separate them. a few more days till 12 12. there are still a few others in the vegging tent that will be coming over, cuttings from these ones and a couple of later start.

Now some closeups of each on June 9, the day after flip to 12 12.. First photo is of two clones from Pineapple Cookies that came from cuttings of first defoliation, which will be done in their 1 gal pot. Second is showing a tape measure with Pineapple Cookies and Blueberry. The next is of Pineapple Express and A mystery plant (just showing flowers so it ends up its an auto. the last photo is of a backup seed for outdoors which isnt now needed so Coco Melon will be grown out in her 1 gallon pot.

We are now on June 15. More photos with the tape showing the growth so far. All look fine, and the Pineapple is obviously a sativa . In the last photo we can see the little tropicana Poison Fast (still yellow) and the two Clone PC's. The auto has really boosted into flower with te 12 12 routine. I basically have been daily snipping leaves that are blocking buds, or too crowded and bending to get even spacing. Nice to be retired and have lots of time for the hobby. I finally checked the PH again and the soil is really alkaline, so I now aim to water with Ph around 5.5 for awhile as that gave a reasonable runoff PH.

Next set of photos from 20 June. I forgot to mention that I normally leave my lights as high as possible for the first week or so of flowering, to encourage more growth wit my flat plants. Except for pure sativas, i typically get less than a foot of stretch. The Pineapple Cookies is stretching much more than others, so I raised it around 10 inches closer to light with goal of slowing it down. Soon i will start lowering the light till I start seeing a little light over effects like leaves praying. Buds are forming and the auto is really looking cool. See the measuring tape for size differences.

An interim sucky update. First photo is of a clone from what i thought was Blueberry. It has really long leaves, so I am hoping i got it mixed up - because the blueberry is a male. i just noticed (should have noticed before) his buds, as seen in another photo. Got him, and one i am sure is his clone out of the tent before they burst, thankfully. Two weeks from 12 12 so tomorrow I start lowering the lights. Will closely watch tat last clone for maleness. I feel as if ive got good spacing of colas and if nutrition is good, will have a nice harvest. I sadly really like Blueberry but will have to wait. On an aside, the 2 by4 tent has three of my favourite going and will be put to flower in around a week. Black Death, White Rhino and Do-Si-Dos will be hard to wait for. Theres a photo giving perpective of the raised (even though taller too) Pineapple Express compared to Pineapple Cookies. Pray for me that this last clone is not Blueberry, since it is really looking nice. See male buds - I am embarrassed that i didnt notice earlier.

yup. has a hidden hermie last year and still picking seed ouy of otherwise nice weed. extremely annoying
