    Let Me Introduce Myself

I am a 70 yr old retired electrician, long time smoker from way up in Northern New York. I fooled with growing outdoors for many years but just learning the science. Have grown mostly photos but a helicopter visit and several vehicles one day made me switch to autoflowers. Figured I would have them in jars before the choppers flew. Legal now so don't worry about it.

Last year I made a homemade 2x4 grow room in a corner of the basement and have been starting plants indoors waiting for warm weather. I was growing with a 2 tube 4ft shop light with ballast bypass LED tubes. 3 kelvin settings on them that I picked up at Lowes.

Last winter for the hell of it grew a photo period 3 weeks on 18/6 and then switched to 12/12. The buds were real small but covered with trichs. My profile pic is of one of the buds. Grew in 5 gal pail and just really old horse shit for growing medium. I have a buddy with horses and youngest son was a drywall finisher so free pails and shit.🙂

I got a new light now and got some photos started and ready to go outside anytime the weather wants to cooperate. Got some vegetables too. Once it is cleaned out going to try full grow seed to harvest autoflowers for a perpetual grow and see how that works. Just got a bunch of seeds ordered from RQS.

Thanks to all for sharing all the info on this site. I have enjoyed what I have read and still have a lot to go.

Hopefully old dawgs can learn new tricks!
    Thanks to all

Hopefully will have better luck indoors now with the new light. Up here bud rot is hard to avoid outdoors. Usually harvest early to avoid it. Another 2 weeks usually would be better. But it does what it's supposed to when you smoke it.

Thank you Bluey and I have been there. Lots of info on the internet. Sorting through the bullshit can be a problem though but seems GWE keeps that in check pretty good.

The tutes and information on the GWE main website I have found is based in science but always check the date on the post. Most are quite recent but there may be some older ones and not up with current research.

Some of the other websites re growing cannabis have some totally false information, old wives tales and pseudo bro science which is not helpful.
