In search of some experienced opinions on couchlock and narcotic weed cultivars

As a weed neophyte and very light user coming up on my second outdoor growing season, I have a cultivar conundrum.

I'm looking for weed varieties that have narcotic couch lock effects. I don't smoke or vape. I infuse coconut oil and eat it, so a smooth or otherwise compelling smoke is not a concern. Advice has been to go for an old-school Afghani cultivar. I'm not convinced my outdoor grow setup can handle photoperiod, so I've come up with these two autos:

Questions for ya'll:

- Of the two I linked to above, have you ever gotten seeds from either of these outfits, and if so, how'd it go? Have you grown and/or enjoyed these types, and if so, what're your thoughts?

- Have you enjoyed a cultivar not linked to above with effects that could be summed up by couchlocked and narcotic?

I understand that's the cultural jargon, but blissful, ignorant, and extremely asleep are what I'm looking for, so any advice and links to auto seeds would be welcome.

I've grown autos many many times outdoors. Most of the ones i grow are indica leaning but never ever have i found a auto that comes close to a photoperiod for couch lock/narcotic UNLESS you smoke 4-5 grams at a sitting. My experience would be find a short flowering indica photoperiod. Purple punch really is my favorite for sleepy weed but there's others also. I'm growing some Mephesto Grappa autos right now they came recommended by another grower. I only grow heavy indica leaning strains.

Good to know, and I'll adjust my expectations accordingly.

I'll look into the fast flowering photoperiods. I'm in USDA zone 7, so if they go into September, it's a little dodgy (weather, pests/disease, etc). Also, I'm trying to keep it all legal and undetectable by neighbors/passersby, so I'm limited with the number of weed plants I grow in a way that I'm not with, say, tomatoes.

Like I can grow 12 tomato plants - 4 varieties, 3 plants each - to hedge my bets against the weather and pests/disease, and no one bats an eye. I can't do that with weed plants for all the reasons.

It's my understanding that couch lock is achieved by watching the trichomes at the end of the flower period and harvesting the plant when the trichomes are mostly amber or all amber, and not necessarily by the cultivar itself. Harvesting at the right time and curing properly will get the results you are lookin for.

I'll certainly do my best to leave the plants in the soil as long as possible. If I can't, I'll try holding my infusions at a higher temp for longer so some THC converts to CBN.

At the end of last growing season, I was battling persistent powdery mildew. My plants had a fair amount of amber trichomes when I chopped them, but I'd've left them longer if there was less going on. Pretty sure my container cucumbers were the primary vector for the powdery mildew. I'm officially giving up on container cucumbers (too much struggle, too few cucumbers), so hopefully there will be less of a problem with that this year.
