    Manifold training question

    Hi all,

Ok this is my first time using Nebula's Manifold training technique. It's gone really well.

I'm one week into flower. I've kept the bottom half of the plants stripped. I cut out the majority of the fan leaves. And alot of the sucker's.

My question is how many sucker's do you keep with this kind of training? Or do you cut them all out and just keep the eight main Colas? Lol... or a combination?

Depends on what you want. The more you strip off, the more what is remaining will get big. I do a little of both. Imo they need to be spread out to get more light. Looks like there is room in the tent to go sideways with them.

Don't worry, be happy, grow sticky buds.

      Good question.

It's up to you. If you think you can get sufficient light on them then keep them. If you can't get enough light on them then either chop them or stagger your harvest or get yourself a couple of weather resistant flood lights and up light them from underneath. Under canopy lighting can be anything that's weather resistant. No need for special spectrum and 20% of the above canopy lighting is the best ratio, so 400W top lighting try 4 25W under canopy.

I don't think removing all the lower stuff makes higher stuff that much bigger again, it is difficult to tell though but it does look very pro rather than hack when you do it. If you can get decent light on the low stuff to get tight buds I think your yields will be greater if you can manage that.

Thanks guys. I cut out all the lower growth. I'll see how they turn out.
