    Humidity vs Air Temp Question

so into week 2.5 of my grow (lost a week to stunted growth because I didn't understand something). Anyway I've got the humidity stabilized around 70-78% but to do this I had to turn off the exhaust fan as it was removing all the humidity even when on the lowest possible speed. My 🌱 look good but the temp is averaging between 90-95 in my tent and I think the leaves are curling ever so slightly in response to the heat. What is the best temp to keep them under in the early veg stage?

note that I use a kind led setup so not much heat generated from it. I've attached a picture and you can see a little of the curling on it. Maybe I'm just paranoid 😉

Your humidity is 70-78, and temp 90-95.
Humidity shouldn't be that high. Temps that high and your plants will simply stop growing.

Boy the heat and humidity thing. I'm new too, and to me maybe the toughest thing to get right. Let me say follow what Flockshot gave you above, but you might really have to rearrange things to get the temps and humidity right.

      First let me say this:
Where you place your temp and humidity gauges in your grow space is going to vary your readings. Example -- placing it high in your space will give you higher temp and humidity readings than keeping it on the floor of your space. Try to keep it at the same level as your plants.
If you don't have a fan in your grow space, you should really get one -- a small oscillating fan might help you out -- a couple of things I found out --first it circulated the air in my tent and made the temp and humidity more stable or constant throughout my small tent. With the fan it also drew some of the cooler air from the outside and helped expel some of the hotter more humid air. Last it really helped strengthen my plants -- don't aim the fan directly at the plant, you can have it bank off the walls or floor until you see some movement in the plants, the little movement is going to help strengthen the stem, but again not directly at the plant or to strong, like a gentle breeze outside.

I have also adjusted the height of my lights above my plants, opened my tent doors and flaps, and added a small humidifier.

Then, all this changes for me, example, my tent is in a room that gets the sun, so as the days get longer I get more sun in that room the sun raises the temp in that room so then the tent gets a little warmer. -- adjusting once again. Also Last week it was 70 outside and today when I woke up it was 8.

Boy sorry, just read a little of my post, sounds like a lot of work, but it's really fun for me.

      Hope my $.02 helps.

pretty much everything yamiacaveman said. esp the part about the humidity monitors being at plant level...also, they are pretty variable (well the inexpensive ones are) and i use 2-3 different ones, placed evenly around the space at soil/plant level if i can get it, so that i get at least a little bit of an average. i have observed that depending on placement they can vary as much as +/- 10 between them...

i can attest to this statement. i have two and get two different readings so i just average it out.

Thanks to all for the links and what not. I've turned the exhaust fan back on as low as it will go. Humidity is around 45-48% now and temp is 80. My girls are just sprouting their 6th nodes which means we will start our manifolding this week! Can't wait to get these girls trained!

Optimum temps are 70-80 stay out the 80's or 90's for sure. Colder temps will help increase resin production.
