Hello all, I'm just now learning about PPM and it is a little confusing. My understanding is that during early flower (which I'm at), you should be feeding your plants about 900 PPM and the runoff should be the same. I'm wondering, is that what it should be EVERY feeding or just the feedings that you give it nutrients? Because I've been giving them GH bloom nutrients every other feeding, so the PPM is correct for those feedings, but the other times, I just feed them PH'ed water with a tsp of CalMag and the PPMs are obviously lower (around 500) since there are less nutrients. Can anybody shed some light on PPM and the correct readings? I'm using a TDS meter btw.

You are doing nothing wrong...there are no correct readings...your plants will tell you what they can handle...
each strain/ plant is different...my ppm is in the 1500's...
Just keep track of what you give them and adjust accordingly...runoff on plain water should be lower...if your schedule is working then keep it up.....

Thank you! I am having issues with my plants. They are definitely sick. I posted the link to my previous thread and there a bunch of pics in there. I just got my TDS meter in the mail and my runoff is VERY high 1600-1800 ppms and I am in early flower. That is probably why I am seeing some issues.Originally posted by Green75 View PostYou are doing nothing wrong...there are no correct readings...your plants will tell you what they can handle...
