    Sativa or Indica

My current grow is Gelonade bred by the Connected Cannabis Co. and sold by MSNL. It is a sativa dominant hybrid, 70/30. A cross between Lemon Tree and Gelato#4. I've been growing for a while and always grow 3 or4 of the same strain. Despite their genotype, these plants have the phenotype of an indica. I have had this happen on occasion with one out of four plants but never all four. I would like to hear your experiences with this genotype/phenotype conflict occurring in your hybrids. Either with Gelonade specifically or other strains where expected dominance does not come through. Should I question the source?

    Thanks

Pix after 4 weeks in veg. Still [ook very indica.

Finger count isn't necessarily indicative of strain. After 10+ years of growing, I never got more than 11 fingers on a sativa and have gotten 9 on indicas. Thin or fat leaves have always been my parameter. Despite a sativa dominant strain these are clearly showing indica dominance.

I don't have much experience with indicas, but seen many grown by others, but yeah it does take a while for dominance to show.

The buds are also entirely different structure. If you look at my profile pic no mistaking them.

The plants are still small so maybe the leaves will take on a more sativa appearance once they grow out a bit - The node spacing may be more sativa but they will have to grow out some to see.

Curious if the seeds you planted came from c.c.c or did you pollinate a previous grow and this is the result - To me It sounds like you have a good seed stock of this strain, so that is why I asked.

Note: A recent blueberry grow did in deed produce to pheno types and you could tell by the bud structure, there is a noticeable difference when smoking the A or B.

Sure it will be All Good 4 U.

My experience with the indica v sativa effects is quite mixed. I've had indica effects with full on sativa and vice versa.

Where I may become relaxed and chilled someone else may become the opposite smoking exactly the same stuff.

I think a lot of what we perceive is down to each individuals make-up or pathology or whatever it is more so than the indica v sativa thing.

Someone needs to do a double blind controlled test on that. I think it may be a myth.
