Is there a - Too young to clone from age?

I have 4 photo Blue Dreams from seed growing at about 5 nodes now and sprouted a month ago. The bottom branches are around 2 inches long. The plants are for someone for their grow and I was going to clip the base branches for him. Do you know if these seedlings could allow for clones at this age? I would assume yes but was wondering if they were too young. My goal is to make a mother plant to keep in veg over winter for summer clones for friends.

You can take the first top as a clone if you are topping it.
    Flower Room: 11' x 7' x 7.5'H, 480w AC, 13gal/day dehumidifier, 1.5gal ultrasonic humidifier, 60gal (27gal usable) nute tank, 16" pedestal fan & 18" wall fan. Lighting and climate automated. Hand watering.
Veg Cupboards: Two 4x2x6H cupboards. SF2000 Evo in one SF7000 in other. Climate controlled and automated. Hand watering
Aeroponics Low Pressure Bucket: 20W LED. 5 clones & 20W LED 11 clones
Lights: Mars Hydro FC-E1200W, SF-7000, SF-2000 evo in flower room.
Medium: Coco/perlite, 7.2gal pots, no drains
Current Grow: 5 x Photos Franklin's Orange Zkittles x Sour Diesel in flower room, 3 Franklin's White Widow x Sour Diesel Clones, 13 x Orange ZkittleZ x Sour Diesel clones in Aeroponics buckets x 2.
    Last Grow: A mix

Good call on the top. Only one was big enough but I did grab a good top cutting and 4 branches. Hoping for a good bonus plant or two out of it.

On cutting dip it immediately into the cloning solution if you are using it or the bloom nute solution at around 0.3EC if not.

So they took. 5 out of 5. Only kept 4 potted and then left one in a plastic cup. 3 of these are recovering from light burn. Bought a new sf4000? And it was a little more powerful than I imagined.

Took clones from these 4 and they took also. Gonna let my friend try them. I think I read a clone of a clone of a clone multiplicity syndrome and the genetics fail down the line .... But free and rooted so here I am.

The first top of the plant makes an ideal clone as it holds its symmetry better than any other cutting and apial growth can be handled the same as topping and manifolding is a cinch. It's my fave clone method.

It may be the most difficult to get going given a few factors but if using an aeroponics bucket with the proper practices your success rate will be 100%.

        Nice work pyro

I have cloned from the node zero (first single lobed serrated leaf) and had good results. The tops do make a more symmetrical clone.
Don't worry, be happy, grow sticky buds.

Well that means if you can't clone from a seed then that would probably be the earliest. Any cloned from a cotyledon cutting?
