I also didn't pH the water so it went in at like 7.5. The pH seems to go up in the fall/winter by 0.2 and then falls back to 7.3 in the spring and summer

I know I know.... But that's still a cool ass looking blotchy deficiency. I hope I slowed it down 🤞. Just gonna monitor progress. Also adding TPS Cal-Mag at 2.5ml per gallon1 PhotoPeace. Love. Mushrooms and Weed.

Probably was the pH. There was no need for me to lower the pH of the water (man but my monkey brain keeps wanting me to. I need to break that habit and have faith in my soil). As soon as I stopped lowering it, the spotting stopped spreading. Also noticed the buds stacked an extra 1/4 inch. Another 2 weeks and we should be nearing the end!!1 PhotoPeace. Love. Bluey lemon juice loses it's ph buffering in a few hours. It sucks. Vinegar is fine. I don't want the water in the bases more than 3 days anyways and from my own experiments just leaving water in containers; one ph"d with lemon juice and the other with vinegar. While the lemon juice one lasts only a few hours before the ph creeps, the vinegar actually got more acidic as the days went on. Not sure where you read that lemon juice can buffer for days, I haven't seen it with my experience. I'd be interested in that source if you have it. The reason why i lowered the ph for coco (my thinking process) I add lots of calcium, with peat it's fine because of the acidity which also plays a part in breaking down rock aka calcium, I just worry if i don't add 6.5 water, the calcium won't have anything to buffer nor dissolve it to make it plant accessible. Probably not correct, but that's why i have my ExperiPot Do smaller scale tests before i commit to a full scale grow. I just worry with coco being fairly neutral and all the limestone and dolomite lime might drive up the ph too high.
also, with the vinegar. I wouldn't use it with any mineral base nutrients. I would be worried about possible chemical reactions or having the minerals precipitate out of the liquid. I only use it with living soil applications because at worst it will turn a hydrochloride salt into an acetate. and minerals like calcium acetate is 10x more soluble than calcium hydrochloride. Since i stated using vinegar, I haven't had any calcium problems and you remember all my past grows from 2 years ago and all the crazy calcium problems i had. Now, Zero calcium issues. Mostly zero issues across the board with some anomalies here and there.

I'm just curious why it's happening and what's causing it. It's not affecting the buds They keep stacking. It does look like a cool ass dalmatian plant though.

First couple of grows I did I had to fertigate from a 200ltr tank and fully automate everything, so I had to find a pH up/down that would hold steady. I have a lemon tree so I tested lemon juice and in my rainwater with my nutes it holds for 7 days no problem. I did try a calmag suppliment that stuffed everything up though for about 3 weeks before I nailed the issue. Found another that worked fine after that.
