Can bud mold make you sick

I would suspect that it is not a good thing and have never tried.

Are the buds stored and became moldy or are you talking about but on the plant?

I've been using a broad spectrum fungicide since the 80's and begin the application in advance of thick buds forming. Most are formulated recommending you do not apply within 14 to 21 days of harvest but I stop 3 weeks ahead always.

I've always called the mildew that forms on heavy budded plants gray mold. If you catch it early you can remove affected flowers and spray the rest however this means waiting at least 2 more weeks before cutting.
