    Is it worth it?

I have a dilema and I would like opinions. All my seeds of prime genetics got too old and they're not germinating. I'm waiting for some GA3 but it gonna take some time. I cannot buy seeds right now. So the dilema is this. I got a brick of weed from panama or Honduras or Mexico I don't even know. The weed is regular "brick weed" all compressed and water cured. The effects are barely enough to smoke a splif or too and get "medicated" enough. Unlike any good strain that takes only a few puffs or half a joint tops. So I got a bunch of seeds of this and they germinate just fine. So I got 2 seedlings bagseed from unknown weedbrick strain. Should I invest time. Soil. Nutrients. Light and space to grow them?? Or should I wait for my hormones and trash them

I have grown Mexican Sativa brick weed bagseed lol its gana come out way better if u grow it yourself indoor but u said it's not very good to begin with and u dnt no wht it is or if thos will be male or female or Hermie so I'd have to say no I wouldnt waste the time and money if you alrdy have seeds coming I would only recommend bagseed if thts it your only option

My opinion is yes, invest the time, etc. You can 'force' them to show their sex fairly early and then return to veg once you have ruled out any boys. GWE site mentions how to do this. My left and right click buttons aren't working right or I'd insert a link. Under growing tips, click on the Male vs. Female and it is in that section. It's a great tip when growing bagseed.

That doesn't work. After the cupple of weeks into flowering, when they start to show sex reversing to veg can take from 1 up to 3 months. It may not seem like it. But the hormones take a long time to disappear

why not just take a clone from each and force that to flower, then you'll know the sex of the mothers

i agree with insomniaczzz. i would think it would be kind of cool/fun to try them inside with all the accoutrements and really give 'em a chance to shine/show what they can do. i get what you are saying about bad genetics but don't you have to figure that the converse is also as much to blame? that is, they are raised in the most spartan, unforgiving, no mods of the environment whatsoever conditions possible. so if you "changed" those features (ie, good lights, good water, properly pHed, nutrients, the whole shebang) then maybe the bad genetics would be offset/counterbalanced?

If u got bag seeds there most likly going to turn into hermies if the weed sucks then the growers didn't know how to polinate seeds properly to create females but u have a 1/3 chance to be female. Like insominaczz said u can flip them to flower after u see the sex and then flip em back to see if there female also if u use Uv lighting it increases the thc levels to make better bud.

            Sure, grow em.
            completed 7 grows
what I have learned so far:
            environment maters more than nutrients
at least a dab of nutrients in every watering
effective flushing before harvest is critical to quality

Thank you for commenting all u show me some silver lining haha I guess any plant is better than no plant. Besides I've always have grown quality pot so I wonder how much better can brickweed turn up to be under the right conditions. If by some miracle I get some seedlings I'll deal with it when it happens. I'll post some pics tonight to share with u guys
