Oh my, Scarlet swelled up and started to sweat on the inside. Cut it out and smoke the rest. Had a couple scarlets get bud rot before the rest was done. I harvest the main cola early for that reason on apical grows. You probably didn't lose much though.

I think I've got it under control, I don't see any more spread and I've one I recalibrated my hygrometer in at 63 percent humidity. Much better. Also on the positive side, look how gorgeous the colors are becoming on the mephisto blood orange haze.

Those purple leaves are about to be consumed by all those swollen calyx popping. Bet is smells like a flower shop. Mephisto genetics are top notch. nice cola

After dry/fast cure of Going2fast Scarlet Grapes I ended up with 2.25 oz of very high quality flower. Probably would have had 3 with the bus I had to destroy due to rot. Great haul. Unsmoked it smells like hoppy lemon/lime/pine. Vaping is phenomenal, very complex flavors, strong with a positive and clear high. Probably the best quality I've ever grown.

The blood orange haze is coming along, I thought I would harvest at least a week ago but the trichomes are still somewhat clear and not a lot of amber. I assume the haze genetics is stretching this one out. If just keeps getting prettier and prettier though.

I harvested and cured the Blood Orange Haze and it's great, has a fantastic smell, light orange and candy sweet with a background of funk. Very sticky buds and their darker color makes the trichomes glisten. At some point I'd like to cross this with my Orange Zkittles to make a tag team orange smell. Got about 1.5 oz from her, not bad considering it was an outdoor auto and I didn't prune her at all except for a defoliation near the end.

The Pound Cake and Devil's Food Cake autos from Going2fast are doing really well, as is the Honey Peach auto from Sweet Seeds. the DFC is a couple of weeks behind the others and doesn't have much smell yet but I can already tell the Pound Cake is going to be a winner, it's already beginning to glisten and has a super pungent stank aroma. Pound Town is G2F's cross between Humboldt Seed Company's Pound Town and Gas Reaper's Bessie Cake, apparently 2 must-haves, so the combo might be even better. The Honey Peach is also beginning to express, has that trademark Sweet Seeds sweet/floral smell but it's more of a background than what I found in their CBD red and what had expressed in my Red x AK-47 auto that some of you grew. It's fronted by a fruity smell that I wouldn't quite call peach yet but stonefruit might be a good description. It's smelling real nice. Sweet seeds doesn't give lineage but I'm positive there are some siblings or cousins in the Auto Red CBD and the Honey Peach CBD. Sweet seeds says it finishes in 8 weeks from seed and it popped on July 15th so should be ready by Sept 15th but I find that super hard to believe and think it will be at the earliest the first week of October.

e're getting closer. My vegetable garden was hit with a massive powdery mildew issue on my squash/zucchini that I didn't respond to quickly enough and some of it spread to my weed. I've been fighting by yanking leaves and using 1/3 milk to 2/3 water mix. Definitely keeping it under control, it's not a big spread on the weed.

Great news that some feminized pollen I made and froze last year from a ((Cotton Candy Kush x Strawberry Cough) x Blueberry) generously gifted to me by changeofpace2014 seems to have taken on the one branch of the Honey Peach. So the result should be a sweet, fruity treat maybe I'll call it Berriez Parfait (but heterozygous photoperiod, so kind of a pain to breed with in the future).

The Honey Peach might have too much nitrogen in the soil, or maybe it's just genetics, getting tons of sugar leaves and thin buds in huge clusters as you can see below. But lots of frost. If you look carefully in the second picture you can see at least one seed being made.

The Pound cake from Going2fast is just great, superb smell on that one. It's becoming less funky and sweeter over time. The Devils Food Cake is about 1-2 weeks behind but has stretched higher than the Pound Cake so I flipped them around to balance out sun and shade.

That s.c x c.c.k x b.b. has been back crossed with c.c.k now - it was not intentional - Dam I took the c.c.k out side to pollinate this time! and sprayed her down with water before brushing the pollen on the dry bud inside a bag...Still have cross contamination...One day I will look into a separate small tent for seeds but keeping males is always a p.i.t.a because they are flat out sneaky!!! Looks like you have a bonus coming Franklin...

She's looking just like my lilac diesel. Def excess nitrogen or nitrogen sensitive cultivar. The Sweet Zombie was hungry on this recipe while the Lilac is so leafy and so dark in color.

Well boys, the summer ended quickly, we've had cool weather and rainy days over the last week and a half and well, you know what that means. Mr. Rot. I really thought I could squeeze two sets of auto grows in this summer but I had a suspicion I didn't start early enough and was hoping for that Indian Summer we sometimes get. Win some, lose some. Inspecting the plants today revealed that tell tale color on bud after bud. I probably cut out about a quarter of what would have been the harvest. I don't usually use a bud wash for for the stuff that didn't appear to have rot on it I gave it a bath in .5 cup of 3% hydrogen peroxide plus 2.5 gallons of water, hoping to stop any rot that remains while I try to dry and cure these plants. I left one branch of the Honey Peach (the one I had pollinated and is growing seeds)--found some rotting buds on this so it's probably a fools errand but doesn't really hurt anything to leave it. The Devil's Food Cake I also left, as it's a couple of weeks behind and had no rot on it at all (the buds are not as thick), though I did trim out some inner branches with bud just to improve airflow. I suspect that is going to be a lost cause unless things get warmer and drier quick, but that's not on the forecast. Oh well, it was still fun to grow and I have plenty of other weed, so if this stuff turns out bunk I'll just make it into balm or something. I will say that the Pound Cake is quite nice, not as amazing as the Scarlet Grapes but definitely up there. The Honey Peach had an amazing aroma but was pretty leafy and the buds were thin. I guess that probably makes sense for a 1:1 CBD as it's half hemp and hasn't gone through the years of selection like THC heavy strains.

Lookit all this discarded bud. Pour one out for me, will you?

Hanging to dry. I put the fan on high and pointed it right at the buds, normally would never do that but figure gotta get the humidity down fast. I'll divert in a day or two.

Sorry to here the weather gremlins showed up for you... I would seriously entertain just running them through bubble bags with a final wash, once they are dried out of coarse..

Just found spider mites on the s.d x o.z and it was being slushed, so I opted to treat them all with 1:9 alcohol spray and kill them buggers..cleaned tent and sprayed with spider be gone...before returning them to finish...

outside seeds ? well i can see one seed where the o.z was pollinated....good sign franklin - inside I know there are seeds and ended up with a unintentional back cross with c.c.k so the sweet smell and hopefully the huge bud structure will be locked in on the s.c x c.c.k x b.b - curious to see what a s.d x o.z x c.c.k looks like lol

                  be in touch when done

Man that's disappointing Franklin. Is it hitting both plants? Do you see any caterpillars in the stem near the rot? My plants are nowhere near that readiness and time is running out fast. WPM is spotty depending on the day, haven't had any rain in a couple of weeks so i'm still hoping.

Bowhunterwoody, dont know about you but i only have one plant that has actual buds that might have a chance.. The other two need 6 more weeks at least! I cant figgur out why their so slow this year. These were started in the tent and moved outside well into veg.

Hey homegrown I did the same thing. Started them indoors in April, put them outdoors in June. I have a GG4 that might finish in about 2 weeks, but the Super Skunk is a month away at least. I set up the EZ-up to drag them under if it rains and it looks like rainy weather for a while now. Just waiting for the bud rot to show up. Crazy slow bud development this year.

Growing outdoors is no joke. Growing vegetables and fruit is fine but the cannabis plants just don't come out too great for me. Just like you, we've been getting nights down into the 50s with humidity over 70% and I'm by NYC ....I would be worried about any susceptible plant. Fungus rules the fall.

Sucks bro. May loose most of my second auto seed run to rot. Need another two weeks but don't look like it's gonna happen. Tis why I don't grow outdoors for smoke anymore. Too humid in the mid Atlantic states for all but heavy leaning sativa's. G13 haze and freak show are the only strains that I haven't lost to rot.

Yeah. I tried autos in the spring but then they finish flower in the middle of summer when it's 100 out. It's got no flavor no high no nothing. Just a waste of time. Sucks but I tried. I learned and now I don't have to ask "what if?". I have my answers. I can focus on the stuff I need to focus on.
