Can you clone a clone? I know you can, but is there any reason I shouldn't?

Absolutally. you can clone it as many times as you like. I believe I read somewhere that 7 is the limit. Is kind of like making a photo copy of a photo copy. After a while it starts looking like crap.

Maybe you're thinking about filial generations. When creating an inbreed line after f7 (f8, 9, 10 etc) the plants develop genetic mutations that make them sterile and very low on vigor and metabolic health. That's why those lines are bred in parallel (two or tree or more) to be crossed again down the line to prevent those issues

As long as you keep the plant as stress free as posible you can keep cloning ir for over 20 years. I've had genetics for two to tree years, cloning every week or two. Replacing the mother every month. So at least 25 - 35 "clone of a clone" with no issues at all. The only reason I stop is because I introduce new strains and old ones are discontinued
