    My First Grow

Hello! This is my very first grow. I learned everything about growing from recent YouTube videos and reading articles. Here’s a mixed bag of information out there so I really don’t know what I’m doing. I’m 8 weeks and 1 day into flower, and the trichromes are still clear. but I think I may have a little nutrient burn going on. I’d like an opinion from someone who knows more than me.
The strain is black widow. It’s in a 2’x2’ tent in a 5 gallon pot. I’ve added Growth shot, and I’ve been adding 5 ml of Sensi bloom part A and B, plus 5 ml of bud candy per 1/2 gallon of water. (I have good water directly from the mountain near my house). The pot has about 3” of Cali super soil in the bottom with fox farm ocean forest on top.

That grow is looking great. Ignore what you are seeing re the tinyy brown tips as that is not you main problem. Your main problem is loss of pigment in the margins which is related to Calmag deficiency and likely a fraction low pH. Watch your N levels too, maybe a fraction high.

Check pH input if you can, if not Id just add a couple of drops of potassium nitrate to a half gal mix and see how that goes.

    Buds looking great!

Do they need to at 8 weeks of flower? At that point, I personally wouldn't be adding anything. It surely has some nutrients in the leaves to pull from.

I think you're approach is the best approach at 8 weeks

For a first grow, you NAILED IT! At 8 weeks, you can even start giving them plain water to flush out any excess nutrients, especially nitrogen. Aside from that, you got nice colors, nice fade going on, nice bud structure, all that's left is to wait for the trichomes to get cloudy and you're ready to chop .

Thanks a lot everyone. I’ve been giving it plain water for about 4-5 days because I thought I had some nutrient burn going on. Got home today and the trichomes on top are now cloudy. I’ll give it another couple days and chop. Much appreciate all the great advice.

Update: these buds turned out fantastic. Very potent, great taste, very mellow smoke not harsh at all. This stuff is better than anything I’ve ever got from a dispensary. I ended up with 4.7 oz buds and 0.9 oz trim. I infused the trim into some mct oil. That stuff is great also.
