COCO COIR Watering and nutrient advice

I have several girls growing with a super soil/coco mix in lower half of fabric pot, all coco in top half. PH is 6-7 and I use a PH/Moisture gauge. I have only been watering every few days as the meter shows between Wet and Moist. I water about a cup per plant and it seems to be doing fine until I can get the pots outside in warmer weather. They are topped and filling out well, about 18” high after a month. I wondered if watering any more would be advised or just stick to what I am doing so far. The meter is usually on Wet but the top of the medium is dry.

Since I am using a super soil/coco mix and all coco on top I do not know if I need to add nutrients or not. The super soil company said it was sufficient on its own but I want to be sure.

    Thanks

Well at least you gave some basic info so we know what the ages are. Of course a photo of the plants would help. Are they photoperiod or auto? Judge your watering practice by the weight of the pot besides that meter. I've never used a meter, and unless those are more than 10gal pots fella i be lifting them little ones up do they feel light? Are they yellow?? Picture please

Obviously I am a novice and am looking for advice. The plants are currently under light 18 / 6 daily. They will be moved outside when weather allows but left in pots. The seeds were classified photoperiod feminized.I have no problem with the plants, they seem to be doing fine. I was just asking for some pragmatic advice on watering and nutrients.

I have not used your way of potting soil in this container. I always blend my soils together so yes i'd imagine the top would dry sooner as plain coco does need watering everyday. You gonna transplant into bigger pots when they go outside. I'd recommend min. 15gal it's how i do it, plenty others use huge pots which they can't move i move mine around out of rain to under cover. Yours so far look great. Yes i'm topping my outdoor starts now they are out growing my area. Still i'd simply lift the pots to tell if needed watering soon there gonna need 1/2 gal. every 4days. Yes i do feed growth nutes after 1 month every other watering or as you see the plants needs ie: yellowing on leaf Good luck

I have zero idea on how to manage a grow in the manner you are doing it....zero.

Actually, even less of an idea than ⅗'s of fuck all...nil, nadda, zip!

Soil requires watering once or twice a week unless it's like really hot and windy and its super easy to overwater and coco that requires frequent fertigation daily and is almost impossible to overwater in layers in the same pot???
