How does mold look under microscope

    Hello everybody,

I’m kind of new to growing, but I’ve run into a problem now - that might be imaginary? - but maybe someone can help.

After harvesting and drying my buds I noticed an odd smell. I just don’t know what it is, but it could be mold though I have neither any idea what mold smells like neither a particular good smelling sense. Theoratically the possibility of mold should be pretty low as the humidity in my growing tent (indoors) is rarely over 40% - I feel like I have more problems getting the humidity up than down. I dried for 7 days in the tent with ventilation on and then put them in jars with Boveda packs (58% and 52% - i wanted to notice the difference.) For now I have removed those packs nevertheless to eliminate the possibillity that they are the favouring the bad smell (even though the smell was already there before the packs)

Now after two weeks of curing, the bad smell is still there. As I didn’t want to take risks when I wanted to smoke a small sample, I examined under a miscroscope (1000x) and finally got the pictures I’ve shown here. Now the problem is that I don’t know how mold looks under the microsope, with my bare eyes I can’t see any mold. Are these white hairy things possible mold or are these normal within the plant’s structure? I’ve examined some weed from a Coffeshop under the microscope and also noticed such hairs. It’s hard to fins pictures of mold online that have such a big magnification. If anyone has pictures of mold under microscope, that could help me with mold detection in the future.

I’ve decided for me now to smoke these buds nevertheless - the taste is fine - but to examine bad smelling buds under the microscope before smoking as a precaution. Please let me know what you think and please excuse my newby doubts and questions.

First pic no mould but those fine filament hairs are actually a type of trichome. I can see them on my sativas under that sort of magnification. The academics are guessing those trichomes primary purpose is a defense against pests but they really don't know. 3 different trichomes on a cannabis flower.

Pic 2 trichomes again and 3 all goodness

Pic 4 the hole worries me but really cant tell. The rest looks fine

Boveda packs can cause bad smells and tastes.
