I started a couple autoflowers I intend to put in a cold frame mid-April. They were almost two inches and a little curled two days after germination. I added an inch of soil to straighten and support them. They‘ve each got true leaves. Anyone ever tried this? Is it likely to help / hurt?

Yep, I had to ‘mound’ my leggies and everything was fine. I didn’t pack em, just gently mounded around them. Once they got more girth and seemed stable I added a little more soil to even the top out. I try and keep a little extra for stuff like this. Don’t know you have to add more soil but I do this in my garden too. You'll be OK. The plant will be OK. Propping up a leggy plant with grow medium is acceptable. So is planting a leggy plant deep enough to provide some support. Sometimes i use plastic sometimes i use fabric grow containers
Currently using fish/guano during veg growth & FF Grow Big 6-4-4 teens to bloom. Once i see pre-flower i switch to
Age Old Organics Bloom 5-10-5

I appreciate the feedback. I’ll confess that it wasn’t instinct, but something I do with tomato plants. I’ve seen that they REALLY root off that buried stem - but I’m a noob with cannabis and wasn’t sure how it would go.
I hope I can post some positive results of my outdoor experiment around July. Thanks again!Comment

That's good to hear Woody76 we outdoor growers get a thread going for all to show off their plants. Sometime around mid June unless those lucky enough start one sooner
