    Just couldn't wait till spring.

Got an early Christmas gift from Going2fast and just couldn't wait till spring. Red Velvet Cake. Tried to pop it on the solstice, but missed by a day. Popped yesterday. Baby pic. Couldn't let you guys have all the fun.

Well she's at day 20 above ground and I already have to filter the exhaust. She smells beautiful but the wife mentioned it twice so on with the carbon. Might be too late to start LST as the stem is pretty stiff. We'll see this week.

Well she took the lst like a champ. Was a bit worried, the stem is pretty thick for 27 days from seed. She's got a few pistils showing here and there. Overall very healthy but a bit slow. My temps are on the low side. That time of year. Man it's cold out there.

Well she looks great on this end. I don't remember how my last winter grow went on heat & humidity issue this will be my first real winter grow at my new place so it could be a good challange for me too LOL. Slow growing is ok if they stay healthy eventually the harvest outta be good?

Dude 27 days she looks spectacular. Red velvet is a very gassy girl. Hope your carbon filter is fresh.

Yea she started smelling great at two weeks. Might need a new filter before she's done.

Looking great man! Did you transplant it or is she in the same pot as a seedling? I can’t tell how big the pots are from the pics.

I transplanted my first autos last run and thinking about doing it again for this next one.

Yea I did. I have a hard time figuring out the watering scheme in big pots for seedlings. She took the transplant perfectly and actually seemed to explode afterwards. Never showed any stress at all. Never even drooped. She's in a 3 gallon plastic now. Used 5 gal fabric last time and wasn't a big fan of them.

Awesome, thanks for the reply! I’m with you on the watering on the 5gal fabrics. I switched to 3gal for the last grow and they did better. I’m gonna try 5gal plastic buckets per inspiration from mr g2f. I’ve got 2 strains of his and 2 mephisto autos to run beside them. I’ve starting to transplant them for the watering and for space reasons also. I’ve seen that a lot of the breeders do it when pheno hunting without issue so I said f it let’s try. Meph suggests transplant at first sign of flower so that’s the goal. ✌️&💚

Well she's 38 days from dirt today and in early flower. Had budlets at 33 days. She's chugging along, a little droopy after a watering. Smells classically dank right now. Come on spring!

48 days above ground today. Probably about half way there. She's getting a little frosty now. Also getting some tip burn. Only fed once with a little tiger bloom and some cal mag at 1/3. Pushing the light a little maybe. She's drinking quite a bit. 3 quarts every other day. Smells amazing.

Damn, that’s fast. Are they autos ? A friend gave me an auto once. It was at that stage when I got it. The only auto I’ve, sort of, grown.

Yea she's an auto from Going2fast. His red Velvet Cake. Really vigorous growth. Still quite a ways to go. But she's cranking along.

Well here we are at 10 wks. Really pushed the light at about mid flower. Got the ppfd around 700 around the outer edges and the DLI up close to 50 for about a week and she didn't like it at all. Really stressed her. Completely my fault. She's holding on now and I'm hoping for another week, maybe two. She's mostly cloudy and I noticed an amber or two on the top colas today. Smells like something you'd want to eat. Coffee ice cream maybe.

Thanks SoOrbudgal. Really solid buds too. Just wish I didn't hammer them. Probably cost me quite a bit in final weight but they sure smell good.

They look nice and fat. Good job.

First time growing autos here and big pots and seedlings it is tough to get the watering right. I've just had to wind my light back too, not because of light burn but because they were all shagged out and droopy as some hours before lights out with a DLI of 40 (18/6) at end of week 5. Just begun preflower and the stretch is about day 2 or 3.

She looks good. Some of these autos can handle my LED's 8" away at full power. Others have to be 30" away at 75%. That's some unique terps she's putting out.

Yea Going2fast. Totally my fault. Usually leave the light at between 18" to 20" @ 100% , but I just let here grow into the light to about 13" for too long. Happened all at once. Should still be a great smoke. My friends will definitely be pleased.

Chop day today. 80 days from sprout. Not the biggest plant but maybe about 3 oz dried. Not bad for a winter boredom therapy grow. No purple color this time but solid heavy buds. Strong citrus and fuel terps when trimming to the point of almost giving a head ache. From a distance the wife thinks it's a vanilla waffer type of dank. Now to regroup and get ready to start the summer outdoor grow in a few weeks.

Congrats on finishing this grow and getting some fresh bud. 3oz ain't bad i hope your wife enjoys this strain and your friends too. Nothing like fresh homegrown. I've been having to do the walk of shame LOL i'm nearly out of my last summer homegrown i've been picking up some cheapo grams that been helping suppliment. Gawd is it ever over dried old weed. I can still squish mine it's sticky. Yes outdoor and hopefully good weather for all.

Nice. If that RVC is similar to Going2fast's Scarlett Runtz you're in for a treat. The high from SR is phenomenal.
