Growing horizontally in a horizontal tent..

    Hey everyone,

After my last idea to double decker my tent I went back to the drawing board and came up with this. Potentially a cockamamieI think it'll address the heat/humidity and potential safety risks the double decker posed (maybe..)

I have a tall narrow tent (80x80x200cm or 2.5x2.5x6.5'). I've successfully scrogged pretty much the whole footprint save a bit of space around the edges for airflow, but I'm trying to come up with a different and easier way than a v-scrog or stadium etc.

The basic idea is to tip the tent on its side, and do 2 scrogs side by side, pots in the center and plants branching outwards.
I'd keep the canopy super low by training the meristem to grow up slightly then out horizontally and under my scrog frames at about pot height.
The screen and pot for each would be on an individual platform so I could take them out to do any maintenance etc.
I'd run an LED board or bars on either side (with removable ballasts to house them outside the tent), with my extraction and filter in the middle, with an oscillating fan posted at either end of the tent.
Naturally I'd have to add additional bracing to the frame in the middle to keep things stable and structurally sound.
I have another smaller tent I can use as a lung room for the heater and humidifer/dehumidifier etc when necessary.

What do you guys and gals think? Does this idea have legs? Feel free to jump in with ideas/critique etc!

I've chucked in a pic of my last scrog, I'm thinking two screens this size, double the harvest in the same tent...

Growing horizontally outdoors is a pinch. Easy as. It's really easy even if topped a few times.

Doing the same thing in a tent would be very challenging. Do you need to use a tent?

Yeah I've got a mate who grows outdoors and just does the bend and tie down method, tops once if that. He got 2 1/2lb off two plants last season. But we live in a place where any cultivation is illegal unless you have a permit to grow medical (requires almost tens of thousands of dollars in permit costs and a bunch of red tape). He lives in a rural area and I am in a city suburb, so yeah the tent is a must unless I move to the countryside.
