Has anyone used a soil blocker to make seed starting pods? I had no idea something like that even existed. Does anyone have a coco recipe to make soil blocks with coco coir? I like starting my seeds in a Rapid Rooter and then transplant into final home, but don't want to buy 25 at a time. The soil block looks like what I need. I'll be making my own DIY soil blocker but am looking for the coco recipe. I saw a three part recipe using Coco Loco potting soil, coco coir, and green sand. But am wanting to know if there is a cannabis specific recipe out there somewhere.

You can buy plugs. Forgotten their name but they are some sort of black soil you can place your germinated seed in. They open up nicely and close back up so you lay the tap root in them.
I've had zero luck with those Jiffy pellets. Not 1 germination and ive tried dozens of times. Yeah, I screwed this thing up with the jiffy pod reference. I was thinking Rapid Rooters but wrote jiffy pod. If the soil block works for me I won't have to deal with buying too many Rapid Rooters. Found this recipe on Youtube. But would like a specific cannabis recipe if it even matters. 4 parts Coco Loco potting soil, 1 part coco (sifted), 1/4 part Green Sand.

Just put the germinated seed directly into a solo cup of coco. Cut out the middleman. I have used peat pellets with a lot of success.Current Grow: 1 Purple Haze, 1 Bay Burger, 1 11 Roses Photoperiods
