I built shade houses for 30 + yrs. America. Portugal, and Porto Rico. I see no problem with growing under shadecloth as log as you get the proper shade factor. In Fla we used 70& shade for fern plants, in houses for potted plants, to be planted in yards, we used 30%. shade. I hope this helps.GK

If you are not familiar with shade houses; 1. they create heat. 2, a lot of plants like a little shade, in full bright sun a lot of nurseries use 10% shade on young plants. 3. since it is usually a black woven material, how would you control temperature? 4. alternative; hot house, environment is more controllable.

Cannabis is known to be a light hog and one of the most tolerant to high levels.

    Full sun is the go.

If you need stealth perhaps a greenhouse or something that cuts out very little light.

They won't perform great in shade.

Very good tips from a experienced person with shade cloth knowledge. I would find the most penitration weave allowing sunlight in while still giving you privecy.
