How to regenerate plants from buds?

i just spent an hour looking for the article that I had ages ago but I can’t find it.

do you know any method how to regenerate living plant from actually smokable buds?

it is possible. I remember the article was about chemistry and biology and they managed to get tiny plants of flowers.
if any of you have any info on this. I tried Google YouTube but I can’t find it and I’m not sure how I’m gonna find it.
